syako...it's not so much fitness issues as it is dressing for different sizes and body shapes. in the past they've done tall, thin, petite, pregnant, athletic, etc.
after seeing a list of the other model/athlete pairings in this issue, my pick would have been for a shaun white/daria werbowy cover.

i have to totally agree with natalie. if you know your size in a certain thing or already have it (seven jeans for example), you know what size you are, etc. so it's easy. plus the range of lines you see online is much more than you would see if you went to one store. you can get things they may not have at your nordstrom, etc. so to me, it's worth it.

shinyredthermos: i don't think sjp is the kind of person that reads blogs and checks out the style.com parties section. if olivier and the people from nina ricci/piug told her it was only worn in editorials (ie, lindsay), not once but on multiple occasions, why would she have hasn't been everywhere (only used in the one ed with lindsay in the u.s.), and the one marion wore was a different dress (similar cut, but different fabric). the more photographed (and used in editorials) nina ricci dress is the "mercury," which was worn by ellen pompeo (silver draped velvet).
she was totally right in calling them out...she could have chosen any number of designers and she picked nina ricci and because they wanted the exposure, they were not forthright with her.

what's sad is you never see comments about the tanya, ekaterinas, or sashas that they suck, are cheap or unattractive. if she's given a chance, she's only going to get better. have you seen daria's old work when she was in canada? eh, not so great...
she's 18 years old! i used to make "fake" ads with pics of my friends and i. big deal. i love that she's passionate about what she does. she's not a vapid, vacant clothes hanger.
