I coloured my own hair for the past year and a half using variouis L'Oreal box colours and in general it looked awful! As a poor fashion assistant there is no way I could have afforded a salon. I just hate my naturally dark brown hair and have always lightened it. In any kind of direct light it glowed bright orange and looked very brittle/dry/brassy. As soon as I could afford it I went to a salon and my hair isn't only healthier and glossy looking, the colour is a lovely medium brown and most importantly looks natural and even-toned! I will never go back to box colour again unless it's to go darker.

I think they both look adorable - I have always dressed with a granny chic/70s vibe and I would wear both of these outfits. Love it!
