oh gaud -- I'm a big bag hoarder (but only the good ones!). By far my favorite are the smaller marc jacobs bags -- they are like stiff cardboard and last several uses without a wrinkle.

oh yah - i have a wides black canvas tote bag from Barney's COOP that i use all the time! for the airport to protect my handbag and SLR camera equip in. But I did get sick of blasting their logo so took a black Sharpie marker to it.
Flying A bags are the best for toting things on a wet day (they are plastic/nylon and zip close)

And wanted to add about girls who carry Victoria Secret bags -- i don't think it screams 'i'm good in bed!' -- i think it screams 'i've been scammed into buying lame "lingerie"!'

there is only one place i go for REAL beauty opinions: www.makeupalley.com
thousands of very real and specific reviews of every single make up product -- even separate reviews for each shade of NARS blushes.
I like to see what the masses are responding to, and that even prompts me to buy samples from ebay (i tried a bunch of La Mer products -- nothing special there and i tried a bunch of Philosophy products -- now i'm hooked on their main cleanser Purity and moisturizer Hope In A Jar)
ebay is also great for trying new hair products for just a couple bucks.
So I use mostly Philosophy at night and all ProActive in the morning (i don't have zits but the famous dr. Pat Wexler told my friend ProActive is actually great for everyone! Oh, and she also said that a simple drugstore moisturizer is all you need -- buy fancy ones if you like the smell/texture/packaging better, but that's all)

yes, seriously, Philosophy's Purity cleanser is only $10 if you buy the small size at Sephora (and it lasted me half a year?) -- a little goes a LONG way and the ability to remove your eye-makeup is a time saver too!

when i graduated college i had a sales job that dealt with a lot of up-top executives. looking like a little girl i had to get some 'appearance power' so i got a pair of nice gucci glasses and filled them with no-prescription glass. it was basically a prop. when a client would say something i would touch the right arm of the glass and look up saying 'hmm'. very convincing haha.
now the few times i wear them i become them in a way that is more smart, timid, nerdy. i guess that's my 'glass character'.

regarding the comment about fake glasses being like fake crutches... when i was a pre-teen i really wanted braces SOooo BAD but didn't need them. i just really wanted those cool colored rubberbands in them - and plus, everyone had braces.
of course, i'm glad i never actually got them but it was just the novelty of them that i wanted.

i go to UO a lot and wish wish WISH..the clothes were better made. $68 for a flimsy thingy is NOT cheap.. but cheap in quality.
and that goes for you too Anthropologie! Great catalog appeal but then you go in the store and see this $118 badly-made, quirkly-embellished thingy hanging on the rack and look around at all the suckers eating it up! even the sale rack is a joke because you know that not only are those things badly made, but they fit weirdly too. and all that for $69.99.

i have a fashion interview coming up, but not a fashion position (in IT) -- i'm pretty fashionable and currently wear jeans to work everyday (but dressed up of course).
So what do I wear to this interview?? my well-fitted Ann Taylor black suit? or do I not match the jacket to the pants?? HELP!

bought the khaki but had to return them -- the 7 fit like an 8 (and i'm a 6.5 -- that's right, these shoes only come in whole sizes)
returned them for the wine color -- very snug but very solid -- and plus my fashion friends (this is old navy??!) claim them to look like Marni's.

right now i'm not very interested in the SATC movie.. but i'm sure leading up to the May date i will be super-charged (and drowning in ads/marketing mayhem)

these were the rage last summer -- i think Dolce Vita made them but whoever made them they charged about $100.
I recommended them to friends because of how high the straps came, they made feet look smaller, and made small feet look absolutely adorable!
they are a little too ubiquitous/mass market for me now, but i would still recommend the Target ones to some people based on the flattering style. i will always prefer a fancy leather flip-flop over rubber ones.

egad! i love that she figured out how to use the bathing suit in a very cute and organic way. yes, the outfit could fit better (but that might be due to the cheapness of h&m and aa materials) but the whole thinking behind the outfit is mildly genius.

yes, i've checked out a couple times although the ideas are there, the quality and finished product fall flat. and anything i would even consider trying on was way too expensive for what it was. too too bad - i really wanted another 'bargain' place to shop.
