I was in Soho around Christmas doing some shopping and strolling around. I see this line with about 30 people on it and I ask them what they're waiting for. Well, much to my surprise, they were waiting to their turn to get into the Ugg store. Amazing to me. I mean they're cute and all, but not sure I would wait on line in the freezing cold for them.
But they are doing something right because I didn't see any other lines in Soho!

My favorite was Eva Mendes' dress. BUT I also loved:
Kate Winslet - She is my favorite actress so I was disappointed beacuase I didn't like it at first. But then when she was on stage, it struck me how beautiful it was.
Cameron Diaz--It was so lovely and ladylike. Plus, I agree with you--so refreshing--no more strapless dresses!!! Then of course the color! I LOVED it.
January Jones - L O V E L Y. Gracy Kelly-like. Just so pretty. I can't believe that was Versace (which is usually more sexed up).

She looked terrible. That dress didn't fit right, way too tight. I can't believe that was a Nina Ricci dress.

I liked the Isabel Toledo dress and coat she wore this morning, but, I have to be honest, I didn't love the Jason Wu gown. I was expecting her to wear something more striking and powerful. That dress was a bit too flouncy for me.
Nonetheless, she looked lovely and they looked beautiful together.

It's a bag thing. Pretty soon we're not going to have any place to shop.
We've become a fast food buyers where we want immediate gratification at a low price.
I think we need to invest and buy pieces that we love and can wear forever and in so doing support stores that carry these designers (and designers themselves).
