i really don't see the resemblence. also, can you really call stripes and using blue, gray, and green an adventure in copyright? i think almost every designer, store, whatever, would be in trouble then.

Honestly, the only similarity I see is with the color of the stones. The shoes do not look at all alike otherwise. I love this site, but when you constantly berate us with "adventures in copyright" that aren't even that close look-wise and are usually criticizing a lower-end brand, it begins to lose its appeal. I look forward to checking fashionista throughout the day for happenings in the fashion world, tips, and style suggestions, and could really do without the silly "adventures in copyright," unless it was an ACTUAL copyright case. Now that would be interesting.

I do not think Angelina looks good at all. Her dress is a dull color, her hair looks over-dyed, and I find the whole thing boring and overplayed. I also think there were many better dressed than those pictured here.

I love her rings! While I like this look in general, I do feel it is better suited for March-April, not June or the really warm months because of the tights, which I think are just silly looking. I would like to see this look with a different wash of denim jacket and a more neutral shoe, whether it be a wedge or stacked heel, in a cork or nude color.

I am a natural "dirty" blonde (not completely blonde with natural brown low lights) and my eyebrows have always been brown, which always leads to people asking if it is natural. I don't really feel that there is a right or wrong answer to this, looks suit different people completely differently.

On a side note, I feel as though your posts are sometimes stolen right from the style.com "Beauty Counter," like this post and the post on perfume technology.

No need to get so catty, etoilee8. I was simply commenting on a something i had noticed. It was obviously not the main point of my post, as I started my post off by contributing to the topic, and I even started my sentence off with "On a side note..." My intention wasn't at all to attack Abby, and I may be wrong but I really don't think my post had a negative tone.

Nothing special. Definitely agree that the skirt could be longer, and I don't find the cut of the shirt and choker necklace very flattering. I do very much like the idea of the shoes, though not necessarily with chipped teal nail polish...

I agree with mpw. I definitely think that the idea of a video, with great music and cool cinematography, is a unique way to show off a new signing, but I don't really think that the undressing showed any of Irina's qualities. This definitely could have been done in a classier way.

I actually start an internship at Vogue tomorrow (in the accessories department) and I am chronicling my experience on my blog, so I will try to scope out as much on the changing tides at the magazine as I can :)

I always try to be comfortable while still being stylish. I also wear layers and shoes that come off easily so that dealing with security can go by more quickly. Layers are also a great way to deal with different climates between destinations. I try to make sure that the clothes are functional and translate well into the style of the place I am visiting.

I started wearing feathers in my hair last fall. I DIY'd some headbands with feathers that were a really great accessory. I also made some peacock feather barrettes and got a great black feather headband at H&M that was definitely a conversation piece. I think that when done in a tasteful way and mixed with more classic pieces, the look is very cool

Tried them on today, and bought 2 pairs! I got the boot cut and the skinny. Great washes, and seriously great fit. They fit true to size, and were most definitely not your typical Gap jeans, which until now have always reminded me of the stretched out, sagging backside they gave me my freshmen year of high school. Would DEFINITELY recommend them!

I love Leighton's look, but that is about all I can say. Chloe has been wearing those shorts for months it seems.

I think that you did this in a very confusing way. The way you posted it makes it look like the top pictures were one spread, and the bottom were another, when in actuality the 2 shots of Doutzen are from W's 2007 spread and then the 2 from Natalia are from Vogue's 2009 spread. Then by having the writing say shots on the left or right only furthers the confusion, I feel, since I am assuming you mean the shot on the left/right of each pairing, when it actually reads as the pairings as a whole.

Distinguishing which pictures are from which spreads obviously changes everything, and actually makes the Doutzen shots look boring since their is little to no change in facial expression between the pictures.

"Jewelry" is spelled wrong.

I have always loved how Jay-Z throws the names of designers/labels into his songs. He has mentioned Burberry, Manolo, and more I'm sure I just can't think of them off the top of my head. I think the juxtaposition between rappers trying to be so "tough" and fashion is great.

They really do look almost nothing alike, besides the studs of course. Are studs on anything now an AIC?

Eh, I feel so-so about this. I do very much like the styling of the ligher, more neutral colors (grays, olives) with the bright accessories. I also love the denim romper and the dress from photo #2.

But the rest of it looks cheap and childish, the leather on the bags horribly fake, and I agree with the guest above me that the shoes look an awful lot like Toms. I find it hypocritical that you would endorse such shoes, considering the flurry of AIC posts there always are.
