#37 You are freaking hilarious! I would also love to know where these magical fairy people who are above it all live.

I personally love Katherine Heigl, loved Grey's Anatomy (pre Izzie and George hookup)and I do understand why actresses and other celebrities have taken over magazine covers. With that said, it would be nice to see models on the cover again. I've lived in Florida and Nigeria my whole life and I would still buy Vogue even if it was Hilary Rhoda instead of Jennifer Aniston striking a pose.

Gossip Girl isn't going to change your life or help you find the cure to a life threatening disease but my God, chill out. It's fun; the fashion, the dialogue, the characters. It's this generation's 90210 (the only 90210)but sort of better. If you want something deep, go watch a freaking documentary on global warming. Entertainment doesn't have to be serious all the time.

* Mad Men is an awesome show though...

Wow, I remember YM and Sassy from elementary school! I used to swipe them from the big sis. I also remember being at the airport after I moved to Nigeria and seeing issues of Teen People and CosmoGirl on the stands. All I kept thinking was "did I miss something?" Now they don't even exist anymore :(
I hope Teen Vogue makes it through this...

Um, this isn't exactly new. We've done that in Nigeria for decades and I know a lot of girls (black girls anyway) that use hair pieces in the states. It can be tacky or tasteful depending on the look your going for and whether you know what your doing. I personally prefer not to.

Thanks Fashionista, this post was interesting and so informative! Keep them coming : )

I personally love Teen Vogue and can't see how someone can even mention it and CosmoGirl in the same sentence. They never really seemed to be in the same league...just my opinion though.

That episode of Gossip Girl was such a bummer :( And HOS? Ugh, what a dud. I just kept thinking "they should have asked Coco to host." No offense to Bar Rafaeli but she didn't come off as a fun person. And she wore bikinis for most of the segment which just irked me.

I like it. I honestly don't see what the big deal is about picture 1. Obviously, women shouldn't smoke while pregnant (if at all). Like guest 7 said, the whole editorial is whimsical and tongue in cheek.

Ditto number 7. It's kind of ridiculous how cheap labor is in African countries. But it's also nice to see the fabric structured so nicely; it's a perfect balance of traditional and modern. I love it : )

One. Seriously?
Two. It originated in Africa where people still wear the style. It's not our fault that it's now associated with ladies trying to be "ethnic" and "gangstas."

Three. Sigh...
