Oh please. How many people actually wear Versace? Even among the rich, the number is pallid. I've crossed paths with their "target market" often enough to know that they aren't that important. I have no idea what their snobbishness brings them, but it certainly doesn't seem to be making them more relevant to people.

I bet they make more money on plastic sunglasses sold in the Bahamas then all their couture dresses combined.

Honestly if Fashion Week was just held somewhere other than NYC, then maybe people could afford to stay in it.

I loved her Thanksgiving recipes on the GOOP newsletter and god knows I would love to look like her, but her recommendation about detoxing by eating only salad for dinner and then drinking castor oil really bothered me. Still, if she makes the gym female-only I might join.

Net-A-Porter doesn't seem to carry YSL. I thought they aren't carrying it until next season?

I NEED that neon orange sweater that Lily Donaldson is wearing. Alas, I'm sure he's not going to release it in size 12. Anyone know where I can buy neon orange yarn?

I've heard the argument that it matters what kind of blog you have and your total readership numbers. Fashionista is more of a magazine style blog, less like a personal account of things, so it makes sense for you to be invited. Additionally, certain bloggers have a celebrity appeal and will talk about the experience all over their blog, so they're also worthwhile invites.

It's a matter of not caring/being comfortable in your bones. It's not a size thing for an attention thing, it's more about knowing fame is just hype. Saying confidence is missing is misleading I think, because you don't need confidence to do a majority of things in this world.

I frequent tPF and tFS to get ideas for outfits. You can post polls and ask opinions on things like "which shoes go with this dress?" etc. Also, if there's a problem with a product, these girls know and I can get an idea ahead of time whether I want to deal with the product's problems. I've also made IRL friends out of some of the people I've met on tPF.

I like the Multiple because it's multi-use. I can get my makeup bag in my purse down to like four items by using the Multiple.

If Karl did leave Chanel, I would hope a woman could take his place. He's done a good job keeping with Chanel's morals, but I think the only people who can really give them a modern perspective are women. It's just that so many of Chanel's designs originated in the practical side of their usage (putting chain in the lining of a suit to make sure it falls just right, the specific number and size of pockets in the 2.55, using a durable yet beautiful fabric like tweed as opposed to something flimsy). I just think you need someone capable of taking these things into consideration, and I think that since a woman does this naturally, women are best suited for the job.

Ok, now I feel sexist for suggesting it.

Dear lord no! Just say no to the pants less look. Unless you're wearing a skirt.

As my Dad used to say, "If someone can see the outline of your private parts through your clothes, it's not fit to wear outside the house. Go change."
