aren't these pictures reminiscent of that brief time of our early adulthoods that we earnestly dedicated to truth... honesty... and ran around taking picture of ourselves in the bathroom?
the more i look at it, the stupider it seems.
natalie, i see where you were going with it, but catherine's posing takes away from the softness and simplicity of the perspective.

i have a big red samsonite and i love it. it's sturdy but smart looking. classic, and it can handle being thrown around by careless airport people. i think it was only like $100 at macy's two xmas's ago...
as for weekends: lesportsac weekenders. and i have no idea how but mine always go perfectly with what i'm wearing. and it's fits a lot too. i took it once to russia when i was staying there for a month, and i also used it to stay in jerusalem for two months last summer. i get compliments on mine all the time.. again, the money. i think maybe it was $50?

am i the only one that doesn't love this look on her?
i don't know why, but lately i've felt really blah wearing minis. i think it's because i was doing the shorts thing with tights and whatnot for a while or something..
anyway, they look really vulgar to me somehow, but i still like the idea (within reason)... and it's not the age thing--i'm only 22!

natalie, what a coincidence! i was just watching that episode last night.
you're right. and this is such an important topic. brides should be most like themselves on their wedding days. personally, i want a 'not-too-white' white wedding dress... but you might look fantastic in green. i hope you find the dress you want! bonne chance!

i love this dress. it looks sudanese inspired, no? if i weren't moving to egypt, i'd buy it immediately.
p.s. bright flat sandals, pouch purse and messy bun makes me so excited for spring!

sorry, jazzi.. i live in DC so i just have to correct this because the "capital"/ "capitol" thing peeves a lot of washingtonians and just FYI.
capitol = the building in which the US congress holds its sessions (not to be confused with "capital")
no comment on LA fashion (shivers*), but isn't this outfit mildly reminiscent of the project runway female wrestler challenge? haha

is this the locket that sarah michelle gellar used in cruel intentions to hold her coke?
haha no, i know. that was a cross. i've got to get my hands on what of those.

it might be just the picture, but i'm not particularly crazy about this look.
the tights are a little bit too neon for harshness of the black boots and black top combination (with no other subtle or neutralizing color addition).
remember in clueless when cher explains that she always takes a polaroid of herself before she decides on an outfit? ... well, that's what this woman should have done. it's the kind of outfit that probably looked good at home with dimmer lighting, but with flash, it's a whole different... eek.
also the top. it's a little too short ... especially since she didn't even make the shortness of it interesting or exaggerated by playing with the length of her boots (actually i hate the length of her boots)..or even by playing with her hair.

i think the superhero trend is cute and totally wearable. i actually don't get how someone could argue otherwise. it's like people who say we can't wear shorts in the winter.... why the hell not?

gypsies? cossacks? what?
i live in cairo, and there are plenty of sudanese men here wearing this exact same shirt... but of course not with shorts and wedges, more like with beards and shishas.

i've definitely done the shorts and leggings before, and i think it's cute. but i also think that it has the potential to be very, very wrong.
flat* boots are key. ballet flats? ok... anything else?... umm, maybe? it really depends... soyez prudents.
