i live in michigan, where pedestrians are few and far between. my umbrella is my car. so yes, very expensive.

a patient of mine used to do business with emiliio pucci back in the day, he was vp marketing for winklemanns. he's got a whole album chocked full of pucci memorabilia - letters, pics, bills w/the pucci signature on them - and all sorts of lovely stories how gracious and hospitable the designer was. after fifty years my patient still talks of him very fondly.

i'm sure the same will not be said of karl lagerfeld in 50 years.

sorry, random.

what a hideous sounding man. this is why i only aspire to emulate his fashion, and not his attitude. his gift to others is his work, and not him as a person, which he obviously thinks if he's giving away little miniatures of himself as "presents"...

looking at the underneath view on forever21's site, it kindof looks like the shank of the shoe would collapse once someone actually would put their weight on it, making it all misshaped. not that the louboutins leave you not teetering around as well, but when has buying $20 footwear proved to be a good idea anyways.

"Could this be the beginning of actual shopping on Canal? We wonder if Steve Madden is looking for a new location..."

very cheeky. it would be even lovelier if steve and nine west stopped knocking off all the higher end designers as well. i can't tell you how annoying it is whenever i'm proudly wearing my ferragamos and some chick points to them and exclaims "are those steve maddens?! how cute!"

ughhhhhh....

yeah, i think you guys are hating on christian too much. he is clearly one of the most talented as well as the most entertaining on the show. how awesome was it that he and chris were on a team together - that dress was so avant guard it made me stay up for the rerun at midnight...

nina definately wasnt laughing.

the joke is simple: bvlgari is a luxury goods/jewelry company in italy. they do not make dresses. the reporter clearly was covering an event to which she had no knowledge of what the sponser does, when it is her job to know.

the reason that the website is bulgari.com is simply because that is how it is pronounced. but the branding "logo" is bvlgari, the same way that chanel is interlocking "c"'s or lanvin is "lanvin".

there never was such a thing as "amy winehouse pre-crack" - that girl had the same cracky problems she has now before she got famous. the only difference about her 5:30 a.m. exploits is that now everyone can watch them via tmz.

and she probably is so fashion "inspiring" because she doesn't emulate the boring look of the legging/jersey/headband sheep herders Lauren Conrad/Lindsay Lohan/Hayden Pane-whatever...

and time pretty much has healed most of her mess ups from last year...

gosh, she used to be so pretty and natural looking. now i can't even look at pictures of her without my inner voice screaming "she looks strung out again! and are those ANOTHER pair of leggings?!"

oh well.

I absolutely cannot wait for ali hilfiger to make some kind of public comeback - whether it's through her own line or she gets another friggin reality show - i just love her to pieces. she is one cool chick.

if it's another show though, i'll pass on jamie gleischer...

oh lord

as if the chicks from "the hills" had any kind of independent fashion know how. i don't care if they worked at teen vogue, all you need to do is take a look at lauren conrad's god awful clothing line. yikes.

that being said, i just realized that in the past year i have only purchased one piece of clothing from marc by marc, in comparison to the oodles of marc by marc pieces hanging in my closet from years past. that line is changing, and getting a little...diluted?

or maybe i'm just getting old.

the frat boys at my college all looked like the kids from "old school" with the occasional luke wilson in the mix...light years away from a GG frat...oh well.
