Why do you not like Bitten? I think Bitten is lovely and has so much heart behind it. The clothes are not beautiful but they are appropriate, flattering and affordable. Seeing Sarah Jessica discuss it on Oprah really made me on board with the idea. I think it's necessary and right to design fashionable clothes for women who can't spend hundreds of dollars on a sweater. I love her for it!
Can't wait for the movie!!

Anna Wintour's dad was big in the publishing/magazine business, so even if she started at the bottom, she got in because of that connection.
I would hope that most top editors start from the bottom...gives us little people some hope!

It may be Amy Astley...but after reading Anna Slowey's "food" diary I can definitely see her doing this.
I think this advide written by Slowey is hilarious and really strange:

...something about her really puts me off...she's soo anorexic-ally thin and her hollywood gals usually seem to follow suit...is it just me or does it seem that styling young celebrities is exceptionally easy?

this copy isn't great but I just got in my carrie bradshaw fake gucci steve maddens and they are lovely!...I don't think they're ruining shoes by providing fashion obsessed gals with less money pretty decent versions of the shoes we drool over.

I will definitely wear lace tights and probably pair them with more masculine, structured dresses and skirts. It can be very boring but I do love all black and I think lace tights can add interest to an all black outfit.

It is a really late and inaccurate rip off but if the Topshop necklace stands alone it is pretty cute.

Leighton...I usually love her clothes. I hate to say it because I'm a Serena fan but I feel like Blake Lively never looks quite right on the red carpet?...and I've got to mention Blake's shoes...so boring and weird with the dress.

I love Elle but beyond Jessica being on the cover, her outfit was horrible! She had that outdated silver heart Tiffany's necklace and a string of blue beads? A tight plaid top (cut short to show stomach) and a country belt and super tight jeans...I really don't understand why Elle put that look on the cover

It is because of the dying magazine industry that websites like you, fashionista, are becoming so important. I recently chose to do a midterm paper about fashionista.com and its strengths for my communications class at my university. We are being taught that as journalism majors, we must look to the internet as the home of our future careers.
