i hate the fact that all of these people (pete wentz, heidi montag.. etc) are coming out with their own lines that the brainwashed mtv generation will buy... thank god that i will never be caught dead in something "designed" by them..

i like to be unique. i purposely try to buy clothes that i like and that i think no one else will think of to buy (does that sound stupid?).. but i have been in a similar predicament as some of you.
my ROOMMATE has recently started buying things that are not only similar to pieces i own, but that are an attempt to imitate my overall style. i can see someone that is not my roommate doing that, but we go out in public together and belong to the same group of friends. when we go out, i don't want to look like carbon style copies of each other. i've been trying a little harder to buy things that i like that i know she would NEVER wear. haha.

some are the leopard pieces are ok. i like the pencil skirts but the 90's floral is too much like a poufy dress my mom made me wear when i was about 7 years old. i hated it.

i don't wear makeup everyday. if i'm super busy, i don't wear any at all. on a normal day, when i'm going to work or school, i'll just wear concealer under my eyes (wicked bad dark circles) and mascara. however, i know i don't look horrible without makeup, and i'm comfortable not wearing it. time is pretty much the only thing that determines if i put makeup on in the morning. i used to wear a lot more makeup, and when i stopped my skin really cleared up.. i wouldn't go back to that. covering it all up isn't worth zits and blackheads.

Serious solo shopper. My mom wanted to come shopping with me to a new H&M in our area... and I actually told her that I wanted to go by myself because I wanted to try on as many new outfits as I could...I don't like talking to people when i'm looking at clothes.

i just wore ballet flats with a high waisted skirt and cardigan sweater to my office christmas party. the other girls at the party were wearing heels, but the ballet flats set me apart and i got compliments for looking chic. flats are comfortable and different. why not take the risk? either way, you come out of the night with feet that are not sore.

i'm sick of these people like lauren conrad trying to be designers... granted, she did go to design school for about 2 seconds and she "worked" at teen vogue.. but she has the most god-awful personal style. i don't see why anyone would want to wear anything with her name attached to it. ugh.
