Alexander Wang truly deserves this, and I'm so happy for the success he has achieved in such a short period of time. Can't wait to see what he does next.

Well, that's the thing, modeling isn't about being your every day pretty girl. It's about being photogenic, and unique and being able to transform and bring something different to the table every time.

I completely agree and am really glad that you guys are drawing attention to this. See by Chloe is not what it used to be, and it's just overpriced Forever21 clothes.

First of all congratulations!

As a former Hearst mag intern I can tell you don't worry no one will expect you to wear a suit, and you don't have to worry about wearing expensive designers.

Flats are totally okay, and actually very practical considering if you're going to be a fashion intern, you'll probably be sent out on runs to pick up samples. I can't tell you how many times I saw girls show up their first day in heels, and then crying when their feet were all blistered from walking all over the city.

The only thing thats really looked down upon are rubber flip flops, anything too revealing, cut off shorts and things of that nature (but since it's winter I'm sure you won't be wearing those).

You can dress simply in jeans, and a nice top and flats. Just wear something that you're going to be comfortable in!

Good luck!!

While I am not a fan of Katie Holmes, I think she actually looks really great. Maybe the best of the celeb campaigns.

One option is to wear a body suit underneath, American Apparel makes cute mesh ones in nude, white, black.. so you could play around.

For my last interview (sales internship with a designer)

I wore harem pants, a tie neck blouse with a leather bomber jacket, and strappy heels. (None by the designer)

Got the internship

I never ever ever wearing anything remotely resembling a suit. The closest I will go to that is wearing a black pencil skirt that has an exposed zipper in the back.

For me its just really a game of trial and error. I used to be somewhat of a product snob but i've let that go and truly believe that drug store products (sometimes) are just as good! Lately i've been LOVING maybelline makeup, their water based foundation, mascara, matte powder get the trick done flawlessly. sometimes I still go for the lancome mascara though! But as of late I've been using almost all drug store products aside from my YSL touche eclat, Chantecaille lipgloss
