They haven't reached the finals. The show is audience pick, like American Idol. So there is no way that they have filmed the finals yet.

I think it's funny that Heidi wouldn't do the walk off with Christian. She knows that she's not that fierce.

I was thinking it looked a little Victorian to me. I really like it.

I'm so guilty of participating in the headband phenomenon caused by Blaire. And is it wrong that when I go shopping now I ask myself, "Would Blaire wear this?" before buying?

I have to agree with most people on this post. I don't think this is a knock off. Along with it being a completely different silhouette, the print is not the same. It's similar, but that could be completely coincidental. I mean, aren't stars popular this season anyways?

To everyone who claims girls like Gemma, Coco, Agyness, etc. are just naturally thin and don't have an eating disorder, how are you so sure? I'm not saying they aren't, but I don't think you can know for sure unless you are them. You're mad at people making generalized statements about fashion models, but you are also doing a huge lot of assuming yourself. Let's just talk about what we do know. Ali was sick and now she's getting herself help. Bravo to her.

Also, to the guest from 2:02, "The pages of Vogue and Elle are read by people who understand models will be thin, not an impressionable teen girl." I have a good number of friends who were impressionable teen girls reading magazines and finding themselves falling into the lure of an eating disorder. And the pro-anna sites all over the web are obsessed with emaciated fashion models from magazines and runways. Of course the fashion industry isn't the sole instigator towards disorders, but it sure is a pretty big catalyst.

I LOVE that you guys brought this up. It's been on my mind for awhile too and inspired me to put in my two cents on my blog, ecostylepod.blogspot.com. (Sorry for the shameless plug.)

But seriously, we all need to point out the hypocrites cashing in on the eco-movement and support those that truely are sustainable. Go green or go home.

Project Runway won't make the jump to Lifetime until the sixth season. Bravo is set to start airing the fifth season sometime in July. Nina is still going to be a judge on it. So there is no conflict for Nina, who is also still technically at Elle until the end of the fifth season (albeit her title is figurative), to attend Bravo's award show. Plus it's just more publicity for her — there's nothing to lose.

I want to try one on to get a feel for how it looks first before I make a personal decision on it. But I love the idea, although I've never seen one worn in real life by a real girl. And I agree with the others who think it's channels Blair.

It's fitting that this is popping up at the time of YSL's death, since he's the originator of this artistic/fashion fusion.

I kind of liked it but wish she had taken it a lot further. There is a lot more historic costume to explore. Wonder why she choose the ones she did. It seemed odd that she didn't represent all the continents or only stick with Western dress.

Oh and you guys totally need to brush up on your historical fashion — there were no Victorian dresses in that film, and it's a burka, not a veil.

I would like to follow-up on what guest Jul 18, 2008 11:53AM said. The exhibit obviously opened in Montreal before YSL's death. It was a collaboration between the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. So it's not "skipping" New York. It was never intended to be shown in New York. Of course, it is possible that once it leaves San Fran, other museums may be interested in hosting it. But people should realize this is not a posthumous retrospective. It's just very big coincidental timing.

Personally, I think its OK up until a certain age as long as your being playful and ironic and the event isn't particularly sophisticated. I totally wore a red sweater and green tights to the holiday party I threw on Saturday, and I think I pulled it off. But it's the kind of look I wouldn't wear if I knew there would be people over the age of 40 or if it was a more dignified event. The timing is everything.

Another thing to note is that this ad is likely not even aimed at Lancome shoppers. It's aimed at those who already by drug store makeup. The drug store shopper sees this ads, thinks "wow, CG is just as good as Lancome," and then goes out and buys a Cover Girl mascara instead of a Mabelline, Revlon, etc. mascara. Basically it's like they are name dropping to have a better association with a high-cost (which infers better-quality) product.
