See, I love it. Vogue is EXACTLY the book to try importing a little humor into what they do. Maybe depth will come next.
Ok sorry, claws are retracted. But honestly, I say way to go!

the only one i ever saw was in echo park in los angeles and yeah, it was also really quickly replaced -- i think with the ad with all the technicolor leggings-and-asses in a row.

This is why I lovelovelove Bazaar for sending their subscribers a completely different cover with noooo cover-lines!
Sad, though. My room mate is the designer for C Magazine here in LA -- they recently up'ed their ante and started doing way more cover-lines, which I think is sad since their aesthetic was so pared down before. Must give the people what they want though?

Woah. Creepy/crazy. And yeah, awesome book. Just finished reading the End of Fashion and I wish I hadn't read Deluxe first because E of F PALED in comparison... Although, as per the quote of the day, you can never have too many awesome Isaac Mizrahi moments.

The office shots actually weren't fake, much to the chagrin of elevator-riders up and down 6300 Wilshire who got squished by film crew gear!

Love me some man shorts. The guy in the Sart photo looks great (I'm suprised no one has anything to say about the giant silver cuff though??).
I think we can all agree that tight shorts are a no-go. I had a recent experience wherein a cobrasnake-esque disciple was wearing some loud biker shorts. At a dance party. Need I continue?

Totally agree with #6 (and the rest of you, to boot). Had to hand in my MJ cultmember card after being mercilessly chewed out by an AWFUL saleswoman at the Newbury St store who claimed they didn't even do repairs. Also subject to the wretched "What did you DOOO to it?!?" remark, oh and my favorite: "I've never seen that happen before." as if I was lying that my bag was broken.
Then again, I ended up taking the bag to the Marc store in LA (when it was finally on its very last leg... A few loose stitches quickly turned into a non-functional strap), received a thousand apologies, a fix-up for the bag and free perfume! Go figure. Maybe it was just a bad day in Boston...
