The most momentous thing (from a fashion perspective) to happen in the last episode–which passed with very little commentary by the characters–is that Brienne of Tarth wore a dress. A pink dress lined with fur at the bosom. This is kind of a big deal for someone who’s always wearing armor. After last week’s rather sleepy and depressing episode, Game of Thrones really upped the ante this week. Daenerys finally comes into her own (in the most awesome girl-power way possible), Sansa and Margaery develop a (possibly fake) friendship, and Cersei is still wearing statement necklaces. The over arching fashion theme? Everyone’s sartorial signature becomes more codified this episode.
The costume breakdown, right this way:
1. Can Tim Gunn not use a baby voice to talk to Patricia’s family?
