Red Carpet

Emma Stone in McQueen

Another Sunday, another red carpet event. Click through to see all the looks from tonight’s Screen Actor’s Guild awards. We’ll keep updating as pix come in. So far our faves are Emma Stone in McQueen, Zoe Saldana in just-off-the-runway Givenchy Couture, Daenerys Targaryen Emilia Clarke (wearing ? help us out!) in Chanel (thanks @VF Fashion), Michelle Williams in Valentino (flawless), and Rose Byrne in that Elie Saab jumpsuit. Who are your favorites from the night?

We’ll have our best dressed list up in the morning. Stay tuned.

Emma Watson basically can do no wrong with her style choices, as she’s proven time and time again on and off the red carpet.

As if I wasn’t already amped enough for the final Potter film on Friday, Watson’s looks from the premier circuit are making me swoon. She’s already made me want to be a wizard and crop my hair, and now she’s awakened my childhood desire to be a princess with some seriously show-stopping full-skirted strapless gowns. She even looks good in sparkly makeup! The girl has to be magic. My midnight-showing dress-up plans are all going awry; do I stick with the hat and glasses and eyeliner-drawn lightning bolt scar, or try and find my own imitation gilt Bottega Venetta ball gown? Decisions.

Check out Watson’s looks from the red carpet premieres, photocalls and press appearances while she promotes the final Potter installment. Which look is your favorite?

We’ve loved Liv Tyler since the “Crazy” video and Empire Records, but, save for her amazing ’90s style in both, we’ve always found her sartorial choices a little…safe. However, she has been seriously stepping it up lately. From the amazing Proenza fall 2011 dress she wore to the CFDAs to the sleek Stella McCartney number she just showed up to a premiere in, the actress has been making some pretty exceptional outfit choices. No wonder–we hear she’s been having a little help from stylist Annabel Tollman, who has worked with Jessica Simpson and Scarlett Johansson and other celebs.

In the past, Liv has claimed that she doesn’t typically use a stylist. She has worked a bit with Rachel Zoe–she even made a guest appearance on an episode of The Rachel Zoe Project, where she had Zoe help her shop for every day clothes. Ironically, Tollman is set to star in her own Bravo reality show this fall.

All we know is Liv doesn’t seem to have made one red carpet mistake over the past few months, plus, is it just us or has she been looking unusually svelte? Here’s a look at Liv’s best recent looks.

We’re sure the looks will be revealed on Entertainment Tonight or Access Hollywood either this evening or the next, but we decided to make predictions on who Allen Schwartz–the unofficial king of Adventures in Copyright–will make undeserved bank on this Oscars season. We say:

We’re all hoping for a bit of excitement on this Sunday’s red carpet. Maybe even a couple of high fashion, out-of-this world, Daphne Guinness-inspired couture gowns. But regardless of what actually turns up, we’ll be here, ready to offer up our take on the good, the bad and the really, really boring. Join Fashionista from [...]

The Oscars air this Sunday, and we know what that means: Celebrities in safe gowns, long teary speeches, and…swag. While the heyday of the Oscar swag bag is over–thanks to an IRS crackdown in 2006–free stuff for celebs is still an indelible part of the awards show season. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and [...]

Rachel Zoe was front row and center at several Milan fashion week shows, including Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli. But it was at Salvatore Ferragamo that she seemed most enthusiastic, snapping pictures of designer Massimiliano Giornetti’s slinky ’70s-inspired Lurex gowns. (This was Giornetti’s first women’s collection, although he’s been Ferragamo’s menswear designer for sometime.) [...]

The WSJ had an interesting story in its Thursday style column about which stars actually prompt shoppers to buy clothes. StyleSpot.com, a Los Angeles-based Web site that links red-carpet photos to e-commerce boutiques that sell the clothes–or something similar–told the journal that Sandra Bullock generates the most click-throughs. Kate Hudson and Drew Barrymore also top [...]

The only thing we’ve ever live blogged is a Marc Jacobs show, but if we’re going to tackle red carpet fashion, it’s going to be the Grammy’s. Celebrities will hit the red carpet in minutes, but what do we know so far? Lady Gaga’s nominated for five awards, she’s opening the show with Elton John [...]
