Nanette Lepore Spring 2013

The Clothes: This season, Nanette Lepore disproved the adage “It isn’t easy being green.” Not only is it easy being green, but it’s pretty darn cool, and everybody better get on board! Lepore offered her usual joyful, ultrafeminine fare this season in a palette heavy on pistachio and coral hues with some crisp, clean whites Read more →

The Top 10 Prada Red Carpet Looks from 1995 to Today

With the Met exhibit just around the corner, we’re expecting to see a lot of celebrities in Prada. While it might be difficult to imagine some of those runway frocks on the red carpet (we don’t see dresses over pants as a go-to for celebrities), it doesn’t mean that the brand is without its fair share of red carpet moments through the years. Quite the opposite.

It was with this appearance that Prada became a household name overnight. The svelte actress was in a traceable gown from a brand to which people could aspire, instead of one provided by a film costumer or, heaven forbid, self-designed (we’re looking at you Demi Moore and Kim Basinger). It hit the high notes of 90s minimalism and became one of those capital “M” fashion Moments.

Click through to see the nine other most notable appearances by Prada on the red carpet.

Lucky Shops Is Happening This Weekend: The Bargains You Can Score, What the Celebs Bought and Styling Advice From Mary Alice Stephenson

Last night’s Lucky Shops VIP shopping night was a bit of stylish mayhem in the middle of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. I estimate there were at least a zillion people in attendance, all carrying reusable Lucky shoppers loaded with discounted designer duds and nibbling away at the most adorable miniature hors d’oeuvres I’ve ever seen. A decent smattering of celebs mingled amongst the crowd as well, also scouring the racks for deals and trying on sparkly costume jewelry.

There were two whole floors of excellent bargains, with most stalls offering 30 – 50% off of retail prices, and some even more.
