At last night’s Billboard awards the stars brought the glam–and the fug–hard. The result was a red carpet that was as entertaining as it was varied.

Case in point: Miley Cyrus showed up wearing nothing but a tuxedo jacket–seriously–while Carrie Underwood sported a princess-y gown with a massive, tulle skirt. What’s more, the red carpet ushered in some memorable looks from stars, both new and old, we don’t get to see every day: Brandy showed up working a Tina Turner-esque look, while Carly Rae Jepsen landed herself on our ‘one to watch’ list with a nude floor-length gown.

Alicia Keys has been popping up all over Paris Fashion Week. As Derek Blasberg tweeted, “Jeez, Alicia Keys has gone to as many shows as I have this season.” Keys made an appearance at Givenchy, where she caught up with W editor Edward Enninful. Photogs snapped the two in a handhold, which apparently means the two are having a steamy affair. At least, that’s what Media Takeout would like you to think, as they posted those photos under the headline “UMMMMM . . . This Could Be NOTHING . . . But . . Barneys threw quite the bash last night to fete Christian Louboutin and his new book, the eponymously titled Christian Louboutin, which celebrates his 20 years in the business. The guests, almost without exception wearing the distinctive red-soled stunners, included Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Blake Lively, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keyes, and Calvin Klein.

We had a chance to catch up with the man himself, and while he understandably didn’t want to discuss his increasingly contentious lawsuit with YSL, he was more than happy to talk about how women wear shoes, that comment about the connection between orgasms and shoes, and whether or not heels are phallic:
