Attend New York Fashion Week From Your Couch: A Complete List of Shows Livestreaming This Week

New York is unreasonably cold right now. Like impending-blizzard-freeze-your-Rag & Bone-covered-butt-off cold. This is exactly why we, and fashionistas nowhere near New York, are praising the fashion gods (more like IMG & various PR people) for the glorious amount of New York fashion week shows livestreaming this week. We wrangled 89 shows (89!) and presentations to tune into over the course of the next week…with even more coming in! The best part? You won’t be judged for taking in these shows in your pjs over some popcorn or pizza or half a bottle of wine…

See any shows we missed? Let us know!

Anna Sui Fall 2012: Sticking to the Formula

Anna Sui Fall 2012: Sticking to the Formula

You always know what you’re going to get at an Anna Sui show: A star-dotted front row, loads of colorful prints, some funky hats, and smiling models.

Sui’s Fall 2012 show certainly didn’t stray too far from the formula–But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Actually, we have to say that in such a fickle fashion era, it’s kind of refreshing to see a designer stick to what she likes. And in this case, it’s also what she does best.

To wit: The paisley and geometric printed dresses, which ranged in color from turquoise to cranberry, were classic Sui and you need only to glance at pictures of rock groupie goddess Anita Pallenberg to know that they’ll stand the test of time.

Coach Partners with Anna Sui: The designer has been tapped to reinterpret Coach’s Duffle Sac, a bag that debuted in 1972. Sui has designed two different versions which will be featured in her runway show on Wednesday. Said the designer, “The Anna Sui version adds a boho feeling with Whipstitching, big tassels and appliquéd Art Nouveau dragonflies.” The limited edition bags will be available this fall on Coach’s website and select boutiques; prices are not currently available. {WWD, Subscription Required}

Liv Tyler Returns to Music Video: Need something to wake you up this Monday morning? Tyler covered the INXS song “Need You Tonight” to promote Givenchy’s newest scent, Very Irrésistible Givenchy Electric Rose, and the accompanying video is pretty sexy. The track was produced by TV on the Radio’s David Andrew Sitek, and Tyler actually sounds kind of amazing. {Elle.com}

Fashion News Roundup: Crystal Renn is Still Being Asked About Her Weight, Luxury Brands Are Doing Really Well, and Jennifer Connelly Models for Shiseido Again–30 Years Later

Jennifer Connelly is a Shiseido Spokeswoman Again, 30 Years Later: The Labrynth co-star is reprising her role as the global face of the Japanese makeup and skincare line – she also appeared in their “Perky Jeans” ad campaign in the ’80s. Jen’s new campaign for Shiseido will be for its Future Solution LX premium skin care line – which sadly doesn’t quite have the same awesome ring to it as “Perky Jeans.” {Styleite}

LVMH and Dior In Pretty Good Shape: As the global economy grows, so have people’s spending habits: LVMH sales have gained 20.4% in the fourth quarter and Dior’s revenues have advanced 22%. Luxury brands seem to be increasing in profit and revenue in pretty much every major market sector save for Japan, where last year’s devastating natural disasters affected far more than the spending habits of the wealthy. {WWD subscription required}

Lisa Perry’s Spring Collection is ‘Mad About Mod’: The designer hosted an intimate luncheon yesterday to celebrate her new ’60s-inspired collection, which features mod accents and groovy pop-art inspired prints. It’s available at Barneys just in time for spring weather and, of course, the return of Mad Men. {Barneys}

Lanvin x H&M’s Runway Show Was Everything and More

It’s a rare day when fashion people actually look like they’re having fun–pure, unadulterated fun–at a runway show. But tonight at the Pierre Hotel, Alber Elbaz debuted his Lanvin x H&M collection. So things were different.

The Scene: A tiny ballroom at the Pierre Hotel on the Upper East Side, and a runway decorated with mounds of hydrangeas. (Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent, who liked to decorate his runways similarly.)

The Players: Friends Sofia Coppola and Anna Sui (who wore a mix of Lanvin and her own designs), Andie Macdowell (the only person who makes me wish my hair was curly again), Alex Wang, Sally Singer, Grace Coddington, Emma Roberts, Elettra Wiedemann, and a gaggle of bloggers, including Fashionista favorites Susie Bubble, Phil Oh, and Bryan Boy.

The Runway:Yes, the one-of-a-kind versions of the H&M collection were stunning. But really, it was all about the atmosphere. And Anna Dello Russo. The models pranced down the runway much like they used to before the ’90s, “making love with the camera,” if you will. But of course ADR stole the show, stomping down the catwalk with a grey poodle. We love Anna, but a poodle makes her irresistible.

Anthropologie Welcomes Customers to Its Headquarters for the First Time Ever, Greets Them With Anna Sui’s Smiling Face

Anthropologie Welcomes Customers to Its Headquarters for the First Time Ever, Greets Them With Anna Sui’s Smiling Face

I headed down to Philadelphia last night to spend some time with Anthropolgie co-presidents Wendy Wurtzburger and Wendy McDevitt, the retailer’s art and antiques buyer Keith Johnson, as well as designer extraordinaire Anna Sui.

The occasion? A special screening of Man Shops Globe, Johnson’s reality television show on the Sundance Channel. The series, in its second season, documents Johnson’s travels around the world as he shops for the most incredible antiques and artwork for Anthropologie’s stores. (He told me his most amazing find over the years was the interior of a music store in Germany. The company shipped the interior over the Atlantic and it’s been in storage for about ten years. It’s now being made into a room at Anthropologie‘s Fashion Island outpost. It’ll be ready at some point in 2010.)

This particular episode stars Anna Sui, who traveled with Keith to Syria.
