It used to be that when an actress’s career stalled or she got a bit past her prime, she’d turn to the theater to re-establish herself as a “serious” actress. Now it seems like Hollywood leading ladies are running to the beauty industry to up their cred and leave a legacy.

Despite the fact that it’s probably never going to be warm or sunny in New York City ever again, we’re sure it must be spring somewhere out there in the world. And spring means sun. And sun means wrinkles and skin cancer (not to be negative or anything).

Burt’s Bees, Aveeno Top the List of America’s Greenest Brands

Advertising conglomerate WPP just released its annual list of America’s Greenest Brands–beauty labels Burt’s Bees and Aveeno landed in the top ten.

We’re not surprised by either choice. Both Burt’s Bees and Aveeno have made eco-consciousness a pillar of their branding strategies. And maybe most importantly, their products actually work.

An interesting takeaway: no fashion brands or apparel retailers topped the list.
