Gucci is launching Sustainable Soles, an eco-friendly shoe line made of biodegradable plastic– Though hopefully they don’t biodegrade too quickly. {WWD}

Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart channel fierce, beautiful dolphins caught in a tuna net on the June/July cover of Interview. {Fashin}

Dennis Basso asked Coco Rocha to star in his Fall ad campaign after she wore Liz Taylor’s yellow suit to the Met Ball. {WWD}

Fashion News Roundup: Victoria Beckham Joins Facebook, Bar Rafaeli Gets Groped at the Airport, and Heidi Klum Talks Blow Jobs in Allure

Victoria Beckham Joins Facebook: To celebrate her 38th anniversaire, Poshypoo joined Facebook, ate a (presumably) low-cal fruit platter, and then proceeded to post about it on said FB account. Now David can finally tag his WAG in that lovely balls pic! {Facebook, NY Mag}

Jessica White is a Poet, OK? The model, who has been hard at work lately on her upcoming debut album, wants us to know that, first and foremost, she’s “a poet.” And when she’s modeling, she’s a “silent artist.” And when she’s writing, she’s “a bat.” And when her Ryan Leslie-produced record drops, people are “gonna get a big huge handful of how creative [she] really [is].” We can only hope that Ms. White’s album contains even more creative metaphors. {NY Mag}

Heidi Klum Strips Down for Allure: The freshly-single fräulein took it all off for Allure‘s May issue. In her cover story, Heidi reveals how she and her brood have been affected by her divorce drama with Seal and the reason she never did runway (except for Victoria’s Secret, obv.) Apparently, even fellow Project Runway judge Michael Kors once rejected her at a casting, saying “Thanks, but no thanks.” And her gay friends taught her everything she knows about giving blow jobs. Awkward turtle. {Fashion Etc, Jezebel}

Fashion News Roundup: Bar Rafaeli Plays Tennis In Her Undies, Proenza Schouler’s First Store Location Revealed, and Gareth Pugh Designs Some Crazy Ballet Costumes

Khloe Kardashian’s Cool With Her Mom Calling Her Fat: So maybe it was Kris who forced poor Khlo-Khlo into that kaftan kover-up! Khloe Kardashian told Cosmo that, while she would’ve immediately fired any manager who told her to shed the lbs… it’s a lot tougher to fire a momager. She adds that Kris “believes in [her daughters] more than [they] believe in [them]selves.” That’s sweet. Though not as sweet as, say, just one more chocolate chip cookie. {ONTD}

Proenza Schouler’s First Stand Alone Store Will Be Located… on Madison Ave Between 68th and 69th! Construction workers confirmed that the spot will be the location for the designer’s first brick and mortar shop (opening later this year), right across the street from Dolce and Gabbana and just down the block from Jil Sander. Though we always figured Proenza was more downtown that UES. {Racked NY}

Gareth Pugh’s Insane Ballet Costumes: The outlandish designer (and former ballet dancer)’s latest effort involves some Robots in Disguise-looking costumes for new ballet Carbon Life, which premieres tomorrow at London’s Royal Opera House and also features a score by Mark Ronson. While those scary point shoes may look restrictive, Pugh insists that they allow “the foot [to] do everything that it needs to do”– which doesn’t quite count out the possibility of using the foot as a deadly assault weapon. Quel dance disaster! {Telegraph}

Fashion News Roundup: Marc Jacobs Lets 14-Year-Old Models Walk in His Show, Anna Dello Russo Crouched at Diesel, and Lindsay Lohan Shows Terry Richardson Her Undies

Marc Jacobs Uses Underage Models, Defies CFDA Guidelines: Much like the crazy nastyass honey badger, Marc Jacobs just don’t care about the CFDA’s proposed guidelines to ban models under age 16 from the runway, despite the fact that Jacobs is a member of the organization. In brazen defiance, Jacobs used at least two models who had potentially just completed their bat mitzvah’s, stating “If their parents are willing to let them do a show, I don’t see any reason that it should be me who tells them that they can’t.” Whatever, whatever, Marc does what he wants! {NY Times}

New Designers Struggle to Get Notice at NYFW: Not all designers can get Anna Wintour (or even George Lucas) in the front row. Take a look into the world of the new and talented designers who can’t yet afford a runway at Lincoln Center, or a professional makeup artist for that matter. {NY Mag}

Bar Rafaeli Felt Flabby in Sports Illustrated: The lingerie model-turned-designer says she felt fat and flabby posing with professional athletes for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. In the poignant word of Michelle Tanner: “Puh-lease.” {NY Mag}

Fashion News Roundup: ‘Sh*t OscarPRGirl Says’ is Funny, Tim Gunn Hasn’t Been Laid Since 1983, and a Million People ‘Like’ Uggs

“Shit OscarPRGirl Says” Will Make You LOL: We get it, everyone’s really effing sick of all those “Shit [blank] Say” parodies. But just trust us (and WWD) on this one. It stars Andrew Mukamal, Erica Domesek, and John Jannuzzi and is really, really funny. And we won’t judge you for only using the Valencia filter on your Instagram after. OK we might a little. {WWD}

Tim Gunn is 29 Years Celibate: Sounds like someone’s not making it work in the bedroom. The Project Runway workroom mentor has revealed that an ex-lover so badly scorned him that he in turn completely gave up sex. I’m sorry Tim, but “this worries me.” {Celebuzz}

Kate Moss Gets Interviewed for Mango: In a behind the scenes video for her new Terry Richardson-shot Mango campaign, Kate talks the future of fashion videos and inadvertently shows us the vast difference that good lighting can make. {Modelinia}

The Craziest Looks From The MTV Europe Music Awards

The MTV Europe Music Awards were last night and, to be honest, it was such a spectacle that it’s almost impossible to do a “best dressed” list. Looking through the photos, it seemed most attendants dressed more for a night of raving in some Euro-disco club than a red carpet. There were minor highlights–such as every one of Selena Gomez’ eight outfit changes–but it’s mostly just a parade of insanity.

Click through to see the best of the EMA’s awesomely bad shenanigans.

Miranda Kerr for Rag & Bone: Victoria’s Secret model and one half of Mirlando, Miranda Kerr is the latest to star in one of Rag & Bone’s self-directed ad campaigns. The Top 21 Best Dressed at the Met Costume Institute Gala

Editors, designers, celebrities and models turned it out on the red carpet at last night’s Fashion Oscars, aka the Met Ball. Unlike the real Oscars, this is a red carpet where people who really know and care about fashion take risks. As last night’s gala celebrated “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” the McQueen retrospective opening at the Met’s Costume Institute this week, many attendees honored the late designer by wearing his incredible creations (some even got ready in them in the windows of Barneys). But of course, there was also Chanel, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Gucci, Givenchy, Valentino, etc.,

Click through to see who made our picks for the best dressed of the night.

The Icing on the Curvy Cake at Louis Vuitton

‘Fairytale’ is the word everyone used while walking out of the Louis Vuitton show this afternoon. As if Marc‘s New York show didn’t leave us feeling romantic enough, he outdid himself in Paris. A tent was built around a fountain in the Louvre’s courtyard; the audience sat in a ring around it. The music began Read more →

Cuteness Confirmed for HOS

Early reports naming Chanel Iman as Bar Rafaeli‘s co-host for MTV’s revival of House of Style appear to be true. We can’t imagine how she’s had the time between walking back-to-back shows in New York, London, Milan, and probably now Paris. (We bet Coco‘s been giving her tips.)
