Gisele Has Angels on her Side: Nearly a week after the big game, this whole Gisele-is-a-poor-sport debacle still has some steam. Days after Giants’ running back Brandon Jacobs told Tom Brady’s supermodel wife to “stay cute and shut up,” Gisele’s former Victoria’s Secret Angel compadres have come to her defense. Quoth Adriana Lima, “Leave her alone!” {Vogue UK}

Ungaro Can’t Catch a Break: It hasn’t been a good start to 2012 for Emanuel Ungaro, which announced that, in addition to not being able to deliver its spring collection to retailers, it also won’t be presenting a fall collection at fashion week and has canceled all appointments for pre-fall. Current owner Asim Abdullah vaguely stated that the brand is going through an “internal reorganization” that will allow for Ungaro to become “profitable in the near future.” Hmm… This seems suspiciously (and perfectly) timed for former Ungaro guest-designer Lindsay Lohan’s 2012 comeback. Coincidence? {WWD}

Christian Siriano’s Bridal Debut: Check out the Project Runway alum’s first bridal design, part of an exclusive collection he’s doing for Nordstrom. While the gown in no hot tranny mess, it definitely looks a bit tamer than what we’re used to seeing from the fierce designer. Here’s hoping he goes all out on the rest of the looks. {Glamour}

Last night Lady Gaga was on hand in NYC to cut the ribbon of her highly anticipated Gaga’s Workshop at Barneys. Sadly, we missed Gaga’s giant-scissors-wielding entrance, but she clearly owned that custom-designed-by-Karl-Lagerfeld Chanel hoop-skirted ball gown.

After a quick sweep through the crowd (and a kiss for a lucky Bryanboy, who was wearing an enormous yellow feathered coat) Lady Gaga was gone, leaving behind a party loaded with blue and pink cocktails and a huge room full of Gaga-themed holiday goodies. Read more »

Last night Versace and H&M pulled out all the stops–and we mean all of them–to put on a runway show and party to celebrate their collaboration, which hits stores on November 19. Pier 57 was transformed into “Versace Hall” complete with a mirror-walled cocktail lounge (made to resemble Versace’s show space in Milan) and a wood paneled runway in a pattern that seemed to mimic Versace’s Greek fret motif (and also ensured everyone got a front row seat).

Everyone except Anna Wintour was there (and maybe she was and we just didn’t see her?): performers Prince and Nicki Minaj (wearing an enormous green wig and sequined Versace for H&M) sat to watch the show; celebs, all dressed in h-to-t Versace for H&M, included Blake Lively, Uma Thurman, Jessica Alba, Chace Crawford, Chloe Moretz, Jennifer Hudson and Alan Cumming; there were designers aplenty from Joseph Altuzarra to Alexander Wang to Christopher Kane; in keeping with the collection’s ’90s theme, ’90s supermodels Linda Evangelista and Helena Christensen were there; and there were too many stylists and editors and socialites to count.

“It looks good,” Minaj told us about the collection as she walked the red carpet. “All the stuff they brought to my room today I was like, ‘I’m keeping that!’ Minaj confessed that she fell in her platform Versaces during the filming for her Superbass video but she said, “I’m not taking them off, fashion is pain, and I’m keeping them on, and Superbass went on to be such a big song, so maybe Versace’s good luck.”

Barneys threw quite the bash last night to fete Christian Louboutin and his new book, the eponymously titled Christian Louboutin, which celebrates his 20 years in the business. The guests, almost without exception wearing the distinctive red-soled stunners, included Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Blake Lively, Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keyes, and Calvin Klein.

We had a chance to catch up with the man himself, and while he understandably didn’t want to discuss his increasingly contentious lawsuit with YSL, he was more than happy to talk about how women wear shoes, that comment about the connection between orgasms and shoes, and whether or not heels are phallic:

People care what celebrities look like, how they dress, and how much weight they’ve gained/lost. It’s just a fact of modern life that we can critique Kim Kardashian’s ass any old time we want, thanks to the magic of the internet. Because we love judging celebrities and their toned (or, gasp, not toned!) bodies, Fitness mag polls its readers each year to find out the best celebrity bodies. They’ve just released this year’s poll results and while there are a few surprises, it’s a lot of the same old yoga bodies.

By that we mean–Jennifer Aniston. Jen cleaned up in a few categories: body women want most (34%), best abs (65%), and best over-40 (24%, though she had stiff competition with Halle Berry and J.Lo on that one). Halle Berry, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Blake Lively rounded out the top five most-wanted bodies.

And if we could make a composite celeb with the best body ever, it would look like this:

This rumor has been three years in the making. Seriously, we reported on it in 2008. Finally, in 2011, Deadline is confirming that Sex and the City prequel, The Carrie Diaries, is indeed set to go into production as a TV series on the CW.

The show is tapping former SATC writer Amy Harris and will be executive produced by Candace Bushnell, and Gossip Girl executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. As of now, neither Sarah Jessica Parker nor Darren Star, both of whom produced Sex and the City on HBO, are involved. No word yet on if Gossip Girl‘s Blake Lively, or Olsen little sis Lizzie, will star in the series.

New Yorkers, get ready: The world’s chicest treat has finally arrived!

Of course, we’re talking about Parisian pastry company Ladurée, whose pretty pastel macaroons have taken the fashion industry by storm (seriously, what would Fashion Week be without them?)–and whose first US store has officially opened on the Upper East Side at 864 Madison Ave, between 70th and 71st streets.

But while Ladurée may have broken ground in America–don’t expect the company to compromise it’s Parisian roots.

Don’t let the name fool you: The Teen Choice Awards are not just for the tweens anymore. Actually, over the past few years the Teen Choice Awards have emerged as one of our favorite red carpets to watch because celebrities take more risks on this carpet, new starlets make their debuts, and the prizes are surfboards, for god’s sake. Need we say more?

The only thing that bummed us out this year is that some of our favorite actual teen stars–Elle Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld among them–were absent.

Check out our favorite looks from last night’s award show.

Fashion’s Night Out is upon us. Almost. The retail-fest is exactly one month away and, predictably, the fashion world has already begun milking the one-day event well in advance. To that end, Vogue.com and Polyvore announced their FNO Style Setter competition this morning, which will be judged by Blake Lively, Alexander Wang and Grace Coddington.

Here’s how it works: Each week Vogue.com and Polyvore will announce a new theme–Fall Wardrobe Essentials, What to Wear on FNO, and Dress a Style Icon for Fashion Week–and invite users to create sets inspired by the theme of the week, on a special section of Polyvore. Contestants may use any of the thousands of articles of clothing on Polyvore, but the one catch is that they have to use at least one of the featured items (read: FNO merch) in their sets. Each day Vogue.com editors will choose a single set to be highlighted on their website, and at the end of the week celebrity judges Blake Lively, Alexander Wang or Grace Coddington will pick their two favorites to be entered in the finals. (So, be sure to include a printed mini dress, leather backpack and a cat in their respective week’s sets for a guaranteed win.)

The six celebrity-picked finalists will, in turn, be voted on by Vogue.com readers in a final showdown.

The Celebrity Tanning Spectrum: Where Do You Fall?
