Brad Goreski Hopes Rachel Zoe’s Clothing Line Isn’t In Trouble
Seriously, guys, is the line in the shitter or what?
Seriously, guys, is the line in the shitter or what?
Remember those rumors back in August that Rachel Zoe’s clothing line was in trouble? Well, turns out there was some truth to them–and it looks like that’ll be a major plotline on the upcoming season of The Rachel Zoe Project.
Lately it seems like reunions are everywhere: the Beverly Hills gang in Old Navy commercials, Entertainment Weekly‘s Reunions Issue, the upcoming Arrested Development reunion (the only one that truly matters, let’s get real). Funnily enough, no one called us to see who we’d like to see reunited, so we thought we’d make our own list. We’re not ones to be left out of a trend after all! We put our thinking caps on to come up with ten fashion reunions we’d like to see here at Fashionista – we will even moderate. It’s guaranteed to be way chicer than your high school reunion.

The Clothes: Michael Kors always uses “student work” as an insult to designers on Project Runway, but it was definitely not applicable here. The FIT students who sent work their work down the runway deserved to be at NYFW. The mini collections were filled with intricate knit work, beading, beautiful fabrics, and detailed craftmanship. Stylist, reality TV star, author, and pop-of-color enthusiast Brad Goreski is of course making the rounds at New York Fashion Week. We think he sounds a little sassy here, do you?

The Kardashian-Jenner clan have released a new “music video” set to “Hypnotize” by Notorious B.I.G., filmed on a yacht in the Dominican Republic. It is, as with all things Kardashian, the pinnacle of klass and decorum. {MTV}

As much as we loved Brad’s cute little bowties and Jeremiah’s cute little tuchus lighting up our lives every week on The Rachel Zoe Project, things just weren’t quite the same following the untimely and unpleasant departure of Rachel’s first on-screen assistant, Taylor Jacobson. Even though she often came off as being a bit (to put it nicely) short, she certainly started out the series with arguably more stylist cred and experience than either of her successors. And everyone knows how frustrating it can be explaining the job you’ve been doing expertly for a while to a total newbie (well, sort of newbie…we love you Brad!).
But after several years away from an ever present camera crew, Taylor’s getting back into the reality tv game with a new series premiering soon on Oxygen called LA Style.
Khloe Kardashian’s Cool With Her Mom Calling Her Fat: So maybe it was Kris who forced poor Khlo-Khlo into that kaftan kover-up! Khloe Kardashian told Cosmo that, while she would’ve immediately fired any manager who told her to shed the lbs… it’s a lot tougher to fire a momager. She adds that Kris “believes in [her daughters] more than [they] believe in [them]selves.” That’s sweet. Though not as sweet as, say, just one more chocolate chip cookie. {ONTD}
Proenza Schouler’s First Stand Alone Store Will Be Located… on Madison Ave Between 68th and 69th! Construction workers confirmed that the spot will be the location for the designer’s first brick and mortar shop (opening later this year), right across the street from Dolce and Gabbana and just down the block from Jil Sander. Though we always figured Proenza was more downtown that UES. {Racked NY}
Gareth Pugh’s Insane Ballet Costumes: The outlandish designer (and former ballet dancer)’s latest effort involves some Robots in Disguise-looking costumes for new ballet Carbon Life, which premieres tomorrow at London’s Royal Opera House and also features a score by Mark Ronson. While those scary point shoes may look restrictive, Pugh insists that they allow “the foot [to] do everything that it needs to do”– which doesn’t quite count out the possibility of using the foot as a deadly assault weapon. Quel dance disaster! {Telegraph}
