On Sunday night, the stars came out in droves to hit up all the Oscars after-parties and to show off their fancy dresses. We were pleasantly surprised to see Britney Spears (newly brunette!) in the bunch, looking the best she’s looked in years.
WWD caught up with the singer at Elton John’s party, where she apparently said to the trade about her dress, “It’s Versace.” Which would be all well and good, except that, well… it wasn’t.

Which is a shame because in the accompanying interview we actually learned a lot of interesting things about the real Britney Spears. Like for instance, how she feels about socks.
