So Who’s Taking Whom to the Met Ball?

Thought you’d seen it all when Jennifer Lawrence face-planted in Dior? Wait ’til you see her standing upright in Calvin Klein Collection! Anne Hathaway? She’s got more than that little Prada (and, well, Armani) number up her sartorial sleeve. And Britney Spears? We know you’re dying to see what she wore last night! (Hint: It’s potentially the best she’s ever looked–and for once, we’re not being sarcastic.)

You’ve seen all the amazing collections from New York fashion week, but what about what happens after the models and editors and bloggers go home? Welp, here’s the thing: They don’t go home. They PARTY.
1. Why has Anthony Ryan hidden this glorious string headband from us until the (actual) last episode?
2. Hold up–why did Joshua come back if he was unwilling to help Anthony Ryan? Is that even allowed?
3. So, does Casanova regularly take vacations from sex, too?
4. “Miss Joanna”? Is Joanna Coles secretly Anthony Ryan’s tap/jazz teacher?
1. Why are the designers always ‘walking up’ to meet Carolyn somewhere? Can’t they afford a car service–or at least public transportation?
2. Is it bad that I didn’t remember Anthony Ryan’s “infamous” bird seed dress?
3. What neighborhood is Emilio from where people are often burgled by fat white men coming through chimneys?
1. Did Project Runway All Stars forget to include Carolyn Murphy’s shirt in the budget?
2. When has Uli ever seen a man wearing armor made of feathers and safety pins?
3. Why can’t they ever tell the designers about the challenge twists before they head to Mood? Hello, eco-awareness!
1. How incredible would that have been if Carolyn Murphy actually did reveal herself to be like… Banksy or something?
2. Hold up–Robert De Niro did a collaboration with graffiti artists?
3. Does Ivy think she’s unique by being “inspired by girl power”? The Spice Girls did it first and did it better. Sorry Ivy…
4. Did Suede top up his ‘do with a little purple spray paint during the challenge?
It was fashion prom meets an alterna-world bar mitzvah at the legendary Bergdorf Goodman’s 111th birthday blowout at the Plaza last night.
We chatted with supermodel and Estee Lauder spokeswoman Carolyn Murphy about her upcoming Project Runway: All-Stars gig and how she’s teetering on the precipice of addictive low-brow TV viewing.
It was difficult not to be a bit starstruck having opportunity to chat candidly to Grace Coddington, who told us that even she gets stuck for inspiration sometimes (hard to believe!).
Sometimes the best things we see during fashion week happen far away from the runway.
Today we took in Day 2 of NYFW and snapped street style stars Taylor Tomasi Hill, Miroslava Duma, and Elena Perminova doing their thing–we even shot Bill Cunningham. We gawked at iconic models Iman and Carolyn Murphy, and swooned over the best beauty looks at Jason Wu, SUNO, and Rebecca Minkoff. Cuties Anna-Sophia Robb and Lauren Conrad popped up, too.
The launch of Carine Roitfeld’s new magazine, CR Fashion Book, is mere days away (it hits newsstands on September 13), and in addition to all the teasers and previews we’ve gotten, today brings two new meaty Carine interviews, complete with new peeks at the cover and editorials. We’re starting to wonder…have we seen the whole mag at this point? No matter. We like what we see.
From models getting peed on to Carine’s supposed beef with Conde Nast (and being banned from using their photogs) here’s everything we know about CR without having ever actually laid eyes on it.

According to the Page Six, the latest installment of Lifetime’s reality series began filming early last month and was slated to have Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as its new host–that is, until she dropped out at the very last minute. Apparently, just three weeks before filming, the model/actress got the call to fly to Namibia to film the new Mad Max reboot, MM: Fury Road.
