From Elle Fanning to Hailee Steinfeld: We Dress Some of Our Favorite Starlets for Prom

From Elle Fanning to Hailee Steinfeld: We Dress Some of Our Favorite Starlets for Prom

With prom season upon us, we’ve been looking at the dresses from all different angles: What to wear, what not to wear, how to get the look.

For most celebrities, however, this routine is nothing new. Getting dolled up for a night of partying and red carpet stomping is just another part of the job–however, for young Hollywood actresses the routine is slightly different since they have designers clamoring to dress them.

We can’t imagine that any of the current hot young things are tired of getting dressed up just yet, so we’ve decided to dress a few of our favorite starlets (of a certain high school-ish age–we know some of them are over 18…) for prom in some looks from spring and fall.

Click through for a prom we are very interested in attending.

Fashion News Roundup: Animal Rights Activist Puts A Hit on Fur Wearers, Kate Middleton Commissions Jubilee Hat, and Kate Upton is Naked on Muse

Animal Rights Activist Attempts to Hire A Hit Man to Kill Fur Wearers: Meredith Marie Lowell might have little regard for human life, but she sure loves her furry friends! The 28-year-old Cleveland Heights resident took to Facebook to recruit a hit man to kill anyone “preferably older than 14 years old” caught wearing fur in her neighborhood. Her post was immediately picked up by the FBI, and her plans, foiled. {Jezebel}

Bruce Willis is Releasing A Women’s Fragrance: ‘Lovingly by Bruce Willis’ is the Die Hard star’s first women’s fragrance, dedicated to his wife Emma Hemming-Willis. Uh, okay. The fragrance will be sold exclusively through LR sales partners on www.lrworld.com. {Yahoo Finance}

Kate Upton Covers Muse Magazine, is Actually Naked: Played out Marilyn Monroe trope aside, the Sports Illustrated cover model looks pretty darn good as the, uh, muse for Muse‘s current issue. {Daily Mail}

6 Red Carpet Hair Trends and How to Get Them

We’re right smack in the middle of awards season, with the Golden Globes safely behind us. While there are still a lot of big red carpets to look forward to in February–like the Grammys, the Oscars, and the BAFTAs–a few early contenders for strong red carpet hair trends have emerged. And unlike those complicated braids and tortured updos of previous years, a lot of these are looks that regular people can achieve in the comfort of their own homes without needing five stylists at your beck and call.

From Rooney Mara to Meryl Streep, click through to see the six hair trends we’ve spotted so far–plus a few tips for getting the various looks. Will these trends have staying power over the next few red carpets?

Best Dressed: 2012 People’s Choice Awards

The People’s Choice Awards might be one of the more pointless award shows (seriously, does anyone actually watch it?) but that doesn’t mean the red carpet has to be.

Actually, we’re pretty sure the only reason to watch the show at all is to scope out what all the cute young starlets are wearing. And in that respect, last night’s show was a doozy.

From Chloe Moretz in Proenza Schouler to Jennifer Lawrence in Viktor & Rolf, last night’s red carpet was surprisingly high fashion. Click though to see who made our top 10 best dressed from the night.
