As if vintage YSL items weren’t sought after enough already, the brand’s recent overhaul is about to make them all the more covetable.

According to Christos Garkinos, co-owner of famed vintage boutique Decades, whenever a brand hires a new creative director, there is a sense of a new era beginning, and “the prior designer’s pieces become more collectible.” Add to that the fact that the new designer will be completely overhauling the brand’s image and logo, and you’ve got a recipe for a seriously collectible–and therefore more valuable–vintage market.

Decades Co-owner Christos Garkinos On His New Bravo Show: ‘It’s Fashion Porn’

Almost exactly a year ago, Bravo announced plans to debut a reality show centered around the owners of L.A. vintage fashion mecca Decades. We were so excited, but then it never materialized–until now.

Included in Bravo’s new list of greenlit shows for next season, is “Decades (working title)” in which “Renowned boutique owners, Christos Garkinos and Cameron Silver, show off their exclusive and glamorous world of vintage couture filled with Givenchy, Balenciaga and Chanel.” We wanted to find out a little more about the forthcoming series, so we spoke with Garkinos, who’s been filming the show along with his business partner, Decades founder Cameron Silver, about what to expect and why their show will be different from all those other fashion reality shows.

For years DecadesTwo has been an elusive myth to fashionistas living outside LA, but now you can get your DecadesTwo fix from anywhere in the world with their newly launched online shop, DecadesTwo.1. A treasure trove of all things consigned, Decadestwo.1 will satisfy every desire. You can search by designer (Chanel, Dior, Prada, Marc Jacobs, Marni, Balenciaga, etc.,), by style, and by closet.
