LONDON–The Burberry show, which is the jewel in the crown of London fashion week, was held at a huge tent in Kensington Gardens, a fitting place to showcase such a quintessentially British brand. It’s also the slickest show around, and draws an always-impressive group of A-listers. Brand ambassadors Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Eddie Redmayne (sans Karlie–where Read more →

Mario Lopez’s new underwear line RatedM is available on freshpair.com, and will be in Bloomingdale’s stores starting February. Lindsay Lohan Playboy Cover Leaks: Seven days before it’s set to hit newsstands, Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy cover has been leaked on the interwebs. Not that it needed to be. It’s typical Lindsay: blonde hair, fresh lip injections, big hair. And we kinda love that Playboy bunny chair. {Buzzfeed}
Clémence Poésy is G-Star’s Newest Face: The Artist Formerly Known as Fleur Delacoeur is featured in the brand’s Spring 2012 ads, shot by Anton Corbijn {ELLE}
Chanel front rows and party lines, especially over the past few years, always draw an elite group of Chanel-clad ladies who might collectively be referred to as “it girls.” Actresses, models, socialites and DJs make up this group but what they all seem to have in common is beauty, great style and some kind of cultural relevance that Karl or someone at Chanel recognizes as fitting with the Chanel brand. That and the ability to look amazing in Chanel and always catch our attention.
About two years ago, Chanel threw a dinner party and announced an “official list” of five Chanel ambassadors: Leigh Lezark, Jen Brill, Poppy Delevingne, Vanessa Traina, and Caroline Sieber. Others, like Elisa Sednaoui and, back in the day, Ines de la Fressange, have been casually referred to as Karl’s muses.
But, there are still others, like Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung and newest and youngest member Elle Fanning (!), whose “roles” in the Chanel world were undefined, until now. A tip sheet for last night’s Chanel couture show, revealed by the Telegraph’s Belinda White, literally places bold names expected to attend into a carefully ranked multi-tier system. The categories range from “Japanese celebrities” to “Chanel Ambassadress.” Here they are in what I’m guessing is ascending order.
The fashion at this year’s Cannes Film Festival is just too good
Model Jade Parfitt looked cool and ladylike in Christopher Kane. Alexa Chung went casual for the Burberry show, making her Burberry Brights bag the star. Lou Doillon mixed Club Monaco and vintage effortlessly. Our new best friend Samantha Cameron pulled off Christopher Kane with aplomb. And Clemence Poesy made us all want to wear Mulberry forever. London’s street style is tops! xo, Fashionista
LONDON–Mulberry left the enchanted countryside set from the show in place for its after-party at Claridges. Guests Kirsten Dunst and Clemence Poesy sipped organic cider and noshed on mini toad in the hole, while other attendees posed for snaps in Fantastic Mr. Fox animal masks. As for us? All about the dance floor, baby.

LONDON–The Claridges ballroom was filled to the brim this morning with editors taking in Mulberry‘s charming-as-usual Fall 2011 show. We were seated in sections delegated by animal–the owl, the porcupine, the bunny–and kitted out with stickers, a fox mask, and a new Mulberry tote bag. Waiters were passing out mini cakes and purple soda. It was kind of like being at a very fancy film showing.
