John Galliano Is Back, Kate Middleton’s Baby Bump Was Everywhere, and Nasty Gal Has Some Competition

John Galliano Returns: John Galliano (who’s sporting a new grunge look) got a new gig at Parsons, teaching a master class on the “challenges and complications of leading a design house.” But not everyone is happy about it.

Let the Kate Middleton Baby Bump Watch Commence! Whether it’s a $1,750 silk Erdem number or a $76 Topshop polka dot dress, we’re keeping our eyes on how the Duchess is dressing her royal baby bump. (Could she be hinting at something with the color of this frock?)

In The Aftermath of the Boston Marathon Bombings: Nike scrambles to pull old “Boston Massacre” t-shirts from stores. Now, however, that same shirt is going for $150,000 on eBay.

Who Should Replace Reed Krakoff at Coach? A Few Suggestions

Who Should Replace Reed Krakoff at Coach? A Few Suggestions

Coach’s Reed Krakoff announced today that he’s stepping down from the role of creative director to focus on his namesake luxury label. While Krakoff’s contract with the brand doesn’t end until the summer of 2014, he’ll be working on an advisory basis until then. Which means that Coach’s search for a new creative director is most certainly under way.

Krakoff’s partnership with Coach’s retiring CEO Lew Frankfort lasted a remarkable 16 years, and launched the leather-goods label into a new financial stratosphere. In 1996, when Krakoff came on board, sales were $500 million. In 2012, they reached almost $4.8 billion. Frankfort’s successor, Victor Luis, is already in place. (And a longtime member of the Coach team.) Whomever is brought on to replace Krakoff will have to be able to handle the tremendous financial pressure being a public company brings, but also help to expand Coach’s brand beyond handbags. Clothing, in particular, is an area where there is tremendous opportunity for growth, both abroad in and the US.

But who will it be? We’re sure Coach will search internally first, and that the search may end there. But it’s fun to consider outsiders. Here are our semi-educated suggestions for whom Coach should appoint as its next creative director. What do you think?

Chrissy Teigen Takes a Nude Selfie, JCPenney Loses Thousands of Employees, and Marc Jacobs Busted for Real ‘Faux’ Fur

Has Chrissy Teigen found an Instagram Terms of Service loophole? The Sports Illustrated model posted a nudie pic (naturally) to celebrate her 200,000th follower and has yet to face the repercussions. {Gawker}

We’re starting to feel really bad for JCPenney. The struggling department store just laid off 2,200 employees in addition to the 19,000 it already let go in the course of its revamp. {HuffPo}

New face of Sheba cat food (yep) Eva Longoria is certainly taking her spokeswoman duties seriously: The actress showed up to a brand event with an actual feline in hand. {The Cut}

Scott Schuman on Why He Won’t Photograph People Who ‘Want To Get Shot’ and Being the Victoria Beckham of Street Style

Last night, we took a break from a packed day of fashion presentations and parties on the it’s-totally-not-fashion-week-yet-but-actually-it-absolutely-is day before fashion week, to stop by the Danziger Gallery in Chelsea where The Sartorialist’s Scott Schuman’s photographs are on display for the first time ever in an exhibition setting. The images on display are included in Schuman’s newest book, The Sartorialist: Closer.

Unsurprisingly, the event brought a mix of the blogosphere’s brightest stars–Bryanboy, Rumi Neely and of course Schuman‘s girlfriend Garance Dore were all in attendance, as were many of Schuman’s exceptionally well-dressed subjects. We managed to steal a few minutes with the photographer to talk about what makes a great photo, how he chooses his subjects and why he never smiles in photographs.

You’re Going to Want Everything From Coach’s New ‘Legacy’ Collection

Over the past few seasons, Coach has gradually been stripping down the logos and embellishments and introducing simpler, more timeless pieces into their collections. And when they did, it was met with tremendous approval by the fashion industry, including us. Their collaboration with Net-a-Porter on a “classics” collection was an office obsession and when last Read more →

Liv Tyler Returns to Music Video: Need something to wake you up this Monday morning? Tyler covered the INXS song “Need You Tonight” to promote Givenchy’s newest scent, Very Irrésistible Givenchy Electric Rose, and the accompanying video is pretty sexy. The track was produced by TV on the Radio’s David Andrew Sitek, and Tyler actually sounds kind of amazing. {Elle.com}
