Around seven million Americans have permits to carry concealed weapons. And, obviously, these people need chic and effective ways to hide their guns. Today the New York Times is reporting on the somewhat unsettling trend of ‘concealed carry’ fashion.
Woolrich, an American heritage brand we know for great outerwear, pioneered the ‘concealed carry’ clothing trend with three t-shirts back in 2010. Now their Woolrich Elite concealed carry line has jackets, pants, and short-sleeved printed button downs. According to the Times, Woolrich says their concealed carry line is for the “fashion-aware gun owner.’ The paper spoke to 35-year-old gun owner and Woolrich fan Shawn Thompson who said, “I’m not James Bond or nothing, but these look pretty nice.”
Of course, Woolrich isn’t the only company looking to cash in on the increased demand for clothing that can hide guns.
