When it comes to our seasonal cover war–in which fashion labels duke it out to see who fronted the most glossies–there’s really only four or five brands that ever come into the running. Those are: Gucci, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Dior–or, in other words, the luxury powerhouses with massive advertising budgets. But can you guess whose budget was biggest for spring 2013?
Gucci really knows how to make a first impression, and what better way to do that than nabbing the cover of a magazine? How about 81 of them?
It looks like Gucci’s overachieving has awarded them the top spot in the seasonal cover war with more covers than any other brand from the fall 2012 collections.
