A picture of a grinning Christian Louboutin in a top hat poised over two reclining naked girls doesn’t seem like such a stretch of the imagination. And it isn’t. It’s the promotional photo touting the collaboration between the famed purveyor of red-soled fuck-me heels and famed purveyor of burlesque in Paris, Crazy Horse.
In a release on the cabaret’s website, we learned that Louboutin didn’t just design the shoes (he’s being billed as a “Guest Creator”)–he directed a series of “tableaux, inspired by many eclectic worlds from hip hop to art masterpieces, which constitute a personal look at femininity in all its forms.” What exactly does that mean? Well, both David Lynch and Swizz Beatz composed orignal music for the show.
