The only trend bigger than designers doing mass collabs is designers doing Brazilian-themed mass collabs (see: Francisco Costa’s collection for Macy’s and their recent ode to Brazil). Derek Lam is the latest to journey to Rio for a collection.
Yesterday afternoon, we stopped by the Derek Lam boutique on Crosby (10 Crosby to be exact) to peep the spring collection of Derek Lam’s year-old diffusion line in person. We arrived to some fun surprises.
As a seasoned livestreamer, running home from school everyday (and sometimes during lunch period) to catch a show made me feel like I was sitting front row, but without the annoying crowds.
Derek Lam Leaves Tod’s: After six years at Tod’s, WWD is reporting that the designer has left his post as the creative director there. So far we haven’t seen a single rumor that he’s going to Dior. Yet. {WWD, subscription required}
Agyness Deyn Is Launching a Collection with Doc Martens: After two successful campaigns with the footwear brand–not to mention being photographed in them umpteen times–Aggy is making it official with Doc Martens. This fall we can expect a collaborative line featuring clothing, footwear, and accessories.

Kate Moss Makes Three Headlines Today: Kate Moss is all over our news feed this morning! First off, a lovely chat with the Telegraph wherein she shares her style tips (like plan what you’re wearing to a dinner party so you don’t look “silly”). She also is rumored to be doing a duet with Kristen Stewart (file that under “long shot”). Finally, Piers Morgan called her “vile.” Geez.

Coach Partners with Anna Sui: The designer has been tapped to reinterpret Coach’s Duffle Sac, a bag that debuted in 1972. Sui has designed two different versions which will be featured in her runway show on Wednesday. Said the designer, “The Anna Sui version adds a boho feeling with Whipstitching, big tassels and appliquéd Art Nouveau dragonflies.” The limited edition bags will be available this fall on Coach’s website and select boutiques; prices are not currently available. {WWD, Subscription Required}
Liv Tyler Returns to Music Video: Need something to wake you up this Monday morning? Tyler covered the INXS song “Need You Tonight” to promote Givenchy’s newest scent, Very Irrésistible Givenchy Electric Rose, and the accompanying video is pretty sexy. The track was produced by TV on the Radio’s David Andrew Sitek, and Tyler actually sounds kind of amazing. {Elle.com}

We’ve excluded most of the people we’ve already reported on. Also, it’s almost safe to say that if someone isn’t on this list, they will probably be at Barneys.
Michael Kors
Michael will be at his lifestyle store on Madison and 61st in New York City. He will be joined by TONY Award winner Idina Menzel, whom Michael will accompany on a selection of songs. Michael will also make an appearance nearby at Bloomingdale’s 59th street, where the “World of Michael” will be created to kick off a new Michael Kors handbag shop-in-shop.
Tommy Hilfiger
Tommy will be kicking off FNO and his brand’s 25th anniversary at Macy’s Herald Square. As we’ve reported, Macy’s will house “The Ultimate Tailgate Party” as inspired by Tommy’s most recent ad campaign. Tommy will be accompanied by Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren. He will also make an appearance at his Fifth Avenue store, where shoppers can have their purchases personalized with an exploding monogram while they shop, listen to DJ Toddlerone and drink up.
High Class: The Unviersity of Monaco is now offering a Masters Degree in Luxury. The university has teamed up with Gucci and Ralph Lauren, among others, to bring you only the most prestigious education. We kid you not. {Racked}
