When Persol announced they’d be celebrating a second run of their “Persol Magnificent Obsessions” exhibition series–which honors classic film-making–at the Museum of Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, we knew it’d be worth the schlep. (Especially since we figured a party mixing film buffs, fashion industry insiders, prosecco, and Terry Richardson as DJ was bound to be a hell of a good time.) So we got on the chartered bus and headed over the Triboro Bridge.
When Victoria Beckham tweeted a photo of a pile of hair with the caption, “Chopped it off! X vb,” fans went crazy wondering what her new ‘do looked like. They didn’t have to wait long. Photogs caught Beckham out and about, revealing her new long bob, which just might officially be the hottest hairstyle in Hollywood right now.

The Cut just posted the full Fashion’s Night Out promo featuring the cast of Glee performing ‘Fashion.’ Highlights include Jane Lynch doing claw hands, Heather Morris’ dancing (we wish there were more!) and Lea Michele‘s sexy Balmain mini. Though we almost prefer Dianna Agron in Marc Jacobs and a short blond bob. Lowlights include that Lea Michele, who has a great set of pipes, somehow sounds way more Britney than Bowie. But no one can be like Bowie. And now this makes us crave Bowie.

Editors, designers, celebrities and models turned it out on the red carpet at last night’s Fashion Oscars, aka the Met Ball. Unlike the real Oscars, this is a red carpet where people who really know and care about fashion take risks. As last night’s gala celebrated “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” the McQueen retrospective opening at the Met’s Costume Institute this week, many attendees honored the late designer by wearing his incredible creations (some even got ready in them in the windows of Barneys). But of course, there was also Chanel, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Gucci, Givenchy, Valentino, etc.,
