Nike’s discontinued ‘Boston Massacre’ t-shirt is not only still in demand, it’s more valuable than ever–at least on eBay, where it’s going for $150,000 and already has 131 bids.
One of the best things about shopping online–besides the fact that you can do it in your pajamas–is that you often don’t have to pay sales tax. Well, that may be about to change, if legislators have their way.
Donna Karan is auctioning off her heart–three of them, in fact, alongside those of nearly 150 designers.
But don’t go scheduling a transplant just yet. These hearts are made from paper mâché by Haitian locals, and though they might not be able to pump blood, Karan hopes they’ll bring life force to the country of Haiti.
The CFDA and eBay are taking on design piracy again with their third You Can’t Fake Fashion campaign. They’ve tapped a whopping 90 American designers including Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Band of Outsiders, Prabal Gurung and more to each design a one-of-a-kind tote bag to go up for auction on eBay to benefit the CFDA’s anti-counterfeiting efforts.

It’s become the norm that after a launch party for a designer collaboration, pieces available at the “pre-shop” end up on eBay within hours. The Prabal Gurung collection for Target, set to hit stores on February 10, is no exception.
Our faith in humanity always takes a bit of a beating during designer collaboration launches–all that shoving and conniving and reselling. So it’s no surprise that over 100 pieces of Maison Martin Margiela for H&M are already on eBay–three weeks before it officially hits stores on November 15. (We saw this happen following the shopping launch parties for Jason Wu for Target as well as Versace for H&M.)
What that means is that more than a few of the lucky hundreds of fashion insiders who attended the Margiela for H&M launch party stocked up in hopes of cashing in on eBay.
We hopped over to an H&M store to shop the covetable collection ourselves–and found that there was more than enough prettily-packaged stock left for anyone looking to capture a bit of that Anna Dello Russo magic–no rushing or waiting in line required. So, why, then are some of the pieces being listed on ebay for nearly $1000?
