Right about now is when my skin goes from pale to transparent. Which is why I always reach for the self-tanner this time of year. The only issue is that my boyfriend hates, and I mean hates, the smell of self-tanner (he claims he’s allergic and makes a big show of opening the window to let the room ‘air out.’)
Anyway, keeping in mind his delicate sense of smell, I’ve been searching for a self-tanner that didn’t, you know, reek. And here it is!
This year I’ve been feeling the holidays really early–like two weeks before Thanksgiving-early. (I’m blaming all the time I spent researching the NYC holiday windows.) But rather than succumb to the temptation of A Christmas Story just yet (“You’ll shoot your eye out!”), I bought a holiday candle.
First of all, I would just like to say that I discovered cult hair care brand Living Proof wayyyyy before Jennifer Aniston did. (She was recently named the face of the brand and is even a stakeholder in the company.) But I’m happy that the brand is getting more exposure, because their products are fantastic.
My favorite is the Restore Mask Treatment.
I love a long-sleeved mini dress. It shows off a lot of leg and still feels classy because you’re covered up on top. I’ve been eyeing this number from Club Monaco for about a month and I finally took the plunge earlier this week.
And I’m so happy I did.
It’s getting cold out there. Really cold. So cold that the only thing I want to wear is this old grey sweatshirt hoodie I have, which really isn’t acceptable for public viewing. So I had to find an alternative.
Over the weekend I picked up this cashmere hoodie, which I found while browsing at Club Monaco in my neighborhood–I haven’t taken it off since.
