The Best Places to Shop for Fashion Online

It’s the holiday season, which means trolling the internet in search of perfect gifts for your friends and family. But despite the mission, we always end up buying for ourselves, too.

To put together a list of the best places to shop for fashion online, we considered breadth and quality of product, easy navigation, customer service, and overall look and feel of each site. We did not include flash sales sites, as it’s difficult to judge something on product when that aspect changes daily. And we didn’t rank these stores, because every site is so different. What’s your favorite place to shop online?

Fenton/Fallon’s Dana Lorenz is Launching a Men’s Collection

We love Fenton/Fallon for its tough yet glossy appeal–now the guys get a chance to be adorned by Dana Lorenz. The designer just announced that she’s launching a full-blown mens collection for Spring 2011, as well as collaborating with our favorite menswear designer Tim Hamilton on jewelry for his REDUX line. Lorenz’s main collection will retail from retail from $150-$500 and includes leather-wrapped bracelets and necklaces.

The designer says that she wants men to be at ease in her pieces. “Guys still want to wear things they forget they have on, that are comfortable and natural–but I wanted to push the boundaries of that a little.”

For Hamilton, she’s doing everything from pins and pendants to wallet chains–14 exclusive pieces in total.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store.

Which One Item of Clothing Would You Keep On Between the Sheets?
Fashion Is Fun

Which One Item of Clothing Would You Keep On Between the Sheets?

A recent survey conducted by MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk found that almost fifty percent of women prefer to keep their clothes on during sex. Why? According to the Telegraph, who first reported on the survey, 54 percent of women keep at least one item of clothing on while doing the nasty to “improve body confidence.”

We don’t really buy it. Sex is about being naked, right? The survey sample size was only 1,563 people anyway.

But we decided to have some fun with this and recommend some of the more ridiculous pieces of clothing and accessories to wear during sex. If you must.

Here are our picks. What would you keep on?

Fenton Fallon For Fall

It’s no secret that Fashionista loves Dana Lorenz and her jewelry line, Fenton/Fallon. She just unveiled her Fall 2010 collection, and we stopped by her boutique to drool over it.

Her signature touches and familiar DNA are still there, but tweaked. Chunky base metal chains are wrapped and stacked, sometimes mixed with Swarovski crystals. We loved a simple white metal three-chain sculptured necklace.

Banana Republic Must Think Their ‘Lorenz’ Necklace is Pretty Clever

Meet Banana Republic‘s ‘Lorenz’ necklace. It costs $79.50. It has silver chains wrapped with gold mesh and a few rhinestones. Thoughts of Fenton/Fallon might cross your mind—it’s like a cheaper, flimsier version of the popular mixed medium jewelry—but really this idea’s spread far and wide, right? The problem is Banana Republic’s named their necklace the Read more →

More Fenton/Fallon for J.Crew, Please!

We’ve made no secret of our blind love for J.Crew. And now creative director Jenna Lyons has upped the ante through her collaboration with jewelry designer and CFDA nominee Dana Lorenz of Fenton/Fallon. I don’t do dainty, ladylike accessories. The chunkier and more hardware the better. So when Fenton/Fallon introduced huge tangled chains mixed in Read more →
