Best Dressed: 2012 People’s Choice Awards

The People’s Choice Awards might be one of the more pointless award shows (seriously, does anyone actually watch it?) but that doesn’t mean the red carpet has to be.

Actually, we’re pretty sure the only reason to watch the show at all is to scope out what all the cute young starlets are wearing. And in that respect, last night’s show was a doozy.

From Chloe Moretz in Proenza Schouler to Jennifer Lawrence in Viktor & Rolf, last night’s red carpet was surprisingly high fashion. Click though to see who made our top 10 best dressed from the night.

10 Engaged Celebs and The Wedding Dresses We’d Most Like to See Them In

The Kates were only the beginning.

Remember when everyone in Hollywood was pregnant? Now, they all seem to be engaged. The most recent starlet to get a ring put on it is the always-stylish Carey Mulligan, whose engagement to Mumford & Sons’ Marcus Mumford was announced yesterday.

A ton of other well-heeled celebs are planning to tie the knot, from Kim Kardashian to Sofia Coppola to Natalie Portman to Zoe Saldana. And since it’s currently wedding season, we thought this would be a good time to speculate on what dresses those celebs might wear down the aisle. Or, at least, what we would like them to wear.

Met Gala Beauty Analysis: The Best and the Not-So-Good

The Met Gala is all about the dresses, but as we know, fashion and beauty go hand in hand. There were some spectacular looks and some, um, interesting ones. We’ll break it all down for you here.

Some trends emerged, and we can say this: if you’re still wearing boring lip gloss everyday, now’s the time to run out and get some bold lipstick. Nude, dewy faces were also popular, so you have options for those days when you can’t bear a red lip.

Click through for the best and, we’ll just say “questionable” looks from last night’s Met Gala.

The Top 21 Best Dressed at the Met Costume Institute Gala

Editors, designers, celebrities and models turned it out on the red carpet at last night’s Fashion Oscars, aka the Met Ball. Unlike the real Oscars, this is a red carpet where people who really know and care about fashion take risks. As last night’s gala celebrated “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” the McQueen retrospective opening at the Met’s Costume Institute this week, many attendees honored the late designer by wearing his incredible creations (some even got ready in them in the windows of Barneys). But of course, there was also Chanel, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Gucci, Givenchy, Valentino, etc.,

Penn Badgley, Ginnifer Goodwin, Akon, The Misshapes and More Star in H&M’s Fashion Against AIDS Campaign

H&M is set to launch a unisex collection on April 26th called “H&M Fashion Against AIDS,” with 25% of proceeds benefiting youth HIV/AIDS projects around the world. To promote the collection, the fast fashion giant wrangled a bevy of young stars from film, TV, and music including Penn Badgley, Akon, Ginnifer Goodwin, Selma Blair, Keri Hilson, Sky Ferreira, Shiloh Fernandez, Nikki Reed, the Scissor Sisters and ubiquitous fashion scenesters the Misshapes.

“When I was growing up, I thought we were all going to get AIDS–it was this big scary disease, but then it seems like people forgot about it, but the disease is still there and very much part of our lives,” Selma Blair said in a release. “It’s a disease that can be avoided. It’s especially tragic when our ignorance keeps us from safety.”

And as for the unisex designs, Penn Badgley digs it: “I like it! I think it’s interesting. It’s like a blank slate, your own style and how you wear it. The clothes don’t wear you as much as you wear them. The style is simple enough that it doesn’t dictate yours.” Each star wore a piece of the collection in their own way to fit their personal style. Scissor Sister’s Ana Matronic wore a peach trench as a dress. Badgley paired his tee with…a hoodie.

Check out behind the scenes images from the campaign shoot.
