Today the Fashionista team was busy running all over Manhattan to catch shows from Alexander Wang, Prabal Gurung, Altuzarra, Band of Outsders, Rachel Antonoff, Wes Gordon, and so many more!

In between taxis, subways, and the occasional pedi-cab, we managed to take a few snaps of NYFW through our eyes. Click through the gallery to see everything from Gisele backstage at Alexander Wang (yes, this happened and we almost died) to a real cat posing with models at Rachel Antonoff!

Not a Good Look: Gisele Faces Backlash After Her Super Bowl Rant is Caught on Camera

Not a Good Look: Gisele Faces Backlash After Her Super Bowl Rant is Caught on Camera

Uh oh: Looks like Gisele has gotten herself into some hot water with her hubby Tom Brady’s Patriot teammates and their millions of fans.

The supermodel was captured on video by The Insider (without her knowledge) as she was leaving the Super Bowl, when she snapped in response to the jeers of Giants fans, saying, “You catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot fucking throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time! I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times!”

Brady’s teammates are none too happy with the Brazilian stunner.

From Kate Moss’ wedding to Jamie Hince, to a crop of new girls who instantly zoomed to the top, to both Karlie Kloss’ and Andrej Pejic’ topless photos that caused minor scandals, there’s been a lot to talk about in modeling.

Fashion News Round-Up: Sex and the City 3 is a possibility, Alexander Wang’s FNO Plans, Tom Brady and Gisele Richest Celebrity Couple

It’s official: American Apparel is cursed. A factory employee for the retailer was crushed by an industrial knitting machine and subsequently died. {Gawker}

Some people really do have all the luck: Forbes has just named Tom Brady and Gisele as the wealthiest celebrity couple in the world, making the couple not only gorgeous, happily married, but filthy rich. {Forbes}

Fashion News Roundup: Fashion News Roundup: Lindsay Lohan Covers Italian Vanity Fair, Brazilian Vogue Manages to Make Gisele Look Wonky and What Kate Middleton Should Wear in LA

Lindsay Lohan’s on Italian Vanity Fair: Lindsay Lohan’s first post-house arrest magazine cover is out and it’s the latest issue of Italian Vanity Fair, which hit newstands today. Lohan is also rumored to cover September’s American Vanity Fair, so we guess Conde Nast has no problem putting the same girl on the covers of international versions of the same magazine two months in a row. {Vanity Fair Italy}

More Behind-the-Scenes With the Olsens and Sally Lyndley: In the second behind the scenes video for Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Stylemint photo shoot, the twins discuss why they chose model Tati Cotliar, photographer Terry Richardson and stylist Sally Lyndley, who also talks about her inspiration for the shoot. {Stylelist}

Teenagers are buying couture: It’s easy to forget that some people attend couture shows with the intention of actually buying things. As the couture business continues to change and evolve, so are its customers. Young girls and royals from the middle and far east have become typical couture clients. {Telegraph UK}

Happy Independence Day! A Roundup of the Tackiest Celeb Flag Fashion

It’s the Fourth of July, and we’re lucky enough to live in a country that allows us the freedom to dress like total jackasses if we want to. Patriotic dressing never gets old and is a perennial favorite of celebs. The problem is that it rarely looks classy, and is almost always tacky. Probably because our flag is red, white, and blue with stars and stripes? That’s a lot going on for one outfit.

The ironic thing is that a lot of the celebs wearing the Stars and Stripes aren’t even from the US. (Hopefully they just think it’s cool, kinda how Americans think the Union Jack is cool.)

Click through for the most glorious sartorial abuses of our American flag, courtesy of many celebrities.

Fashion News Roundup: A Daphne Guinness Doc, Gucci Taps Florence Welch and Reversible Jeans

Daphne Behind the Scenes: Director Brennan Stasiewicz shot footage of the iconic heiress both in her home, where she mused on fashion and her style, and during her pre-Met-Gala dressing installation in the window of Barneys. Stasiewicz explains how Guinness herself is like a window: “[she is] someone you can approach and see, but you remain on the other side.” {NOWNESS}

Florence Welch Is The New Face of Gucci: Frida Giannini hand-picked the singer after seeing her at this year’s Grammys, citing her “powerful personality and entrancing quality to her performances” as going “hand in hand with the Gucci woman.” We couldn’t agree more. {Vogue UK}

Reversible Jeans: And they aren’t a weird form of jeggings either. The Bleulab creations are real jeans, complete with front pockets and normal zippers. Prices start at $163 – worth it for the giant extension you just got on laundry. {The Frisky}

Gaga Shoves Oprah Out of First Place As Forbes’ Most Powerful Celebrity (Plus a Few Other Fashion Notables Make the List)

Forbes100 Most Powerful Celebrities list is out, and Lady Gaga–shocker!–is number one this year, knocking poor Oprah from her first place spot. While Oprah earned a whopping $290 million to Gaga’s paltry $90 million, the Lady won out because of her wide-reaching influence via both traditional and social media. She’s everywhere and has some of the most rabid fans around. Whatever product or cause she touches benefits from its association with her.

Overall, fashion people didn’t get a lot of love on Forbes’ list this year, but there were a few shout-outs. (We should note that the Biebs is number three–he transcends categorization.) David Beckham is number 35, and Forbes reported that his “pitch prowess” has declined. We beg to differ now in light of his just-revealed lifestyle empire. He’ll surely be higher on the list next year.

Models did pretty well.

Tanning Is Super Popular Now: An Analysis of the Reasons Why (Thanks, Pippa Middleton!)

Let’s face it: tan skin hasn’t really gone out of style since the heyday of the ’80s when girls slathered baby oil on themselves and baked in their backyards. There was possibly a brief stint in the ’90s–the heroin chic era–when a golden tan wasn’t quite as desirable, but it’s never really disappeared. Now it’s come roaring back with a vengeance.

From the boom of Brazilian models like Gisele and Alessandra Ambrosio to the caricature of tanning portrayed on Jersey Shore, a glow has never been more desirable. And thanks to a certain very tan British family, the trend is guaranteed to stick around for awhile.

The World’s Top Earning Models: Gisele earned a whopping $45 million last year. Heidi Klum followed far behind at $20 million. Other top earners include Kate Moss, Adriana Lima, Lara Stone, and Candice Swanepoel. It definitely pays to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel. {Forbes}

Galliano Is Suing His Ex-Lawyer For Stealing $4 Million:As if John Galliano doesn’t have enough legal woes, he’s now suing ex-attorney Stephane Zerbib on the accusation that he stole $4 million from the designer. Zerbib is countersuing for defamation. Sigh. {NYP}
