Last night in New York, Michael Kors received the Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement for his 20-year support and commitment to God’s Love We Deliver, the New York non-profit that provides nutritious meals and counseling to people suffering from severe illnesses–and the stars, including Gwyenth Paltrow and Brooklyn Decker, came out in droves to celebrate. Among them was SNL‘s Seth Meyers, who had some pretty great (hilarious) fashion advice for the presidential candidates. Prolific television writer/director/producer Ryan Murphy was quite possibly the most popular guy at the Michael Kors-honoring God’s Love We Deliver event last night.

Full disclosure: Like Leah, I kind of fell behind on the show last season. But despite the show’s absence on my DVR queue, I’d have to live in a hole to not know that Sarah Jessica Parker guest stars this season as a Vogue.com editor with wardrobe tips from real life Vogue editrix Anna Wintour (and makeup inspired by former Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld).

So, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to ask Glee‘s well-connected helmer for some insider tips on what other fashion-y plans he has in store. And that’s when things got really good.

The Cut just posted the full Fashion’s Night Out promo featuring the cast of Glee performing ‘Fashion.’ Highlights include Jane Lynch doing claw hands, Heather Morris’ dancing (we wish there were more!) and Lea Michele‘s sexy Balmain mini. Though we almost prefer Dianna Agron in Marc Jacobs and a short blond bob. Lowlights include that Lea Michele, who has a great set of pipes, somehow sounds way more Britney than Bowie. But no one can be like Bowie. And now this makes us crave Bowie.

The Cast of Glee For Fashion’s Night Out? (Thank Bee Shaffer)

Will we be seeing Glee stars on the cover of Vogue soon? According to the Page Six, the Glee kids will act as spokespersons for Fashion’s Night Out on September 8, appearing at stores across the country.

Anna Wintour‘s daughter, Bee Shaffer, is an Associate Managing Producer in LA for Ryan Murphy’s production company (which produces Glee) and supposedly brokered the deal. A rep for Fashion’s Night Out didn’t necessarily shoot down the rumor, but instead gave the Post this statement: “We don’t comment on rumors.”
