Gwyneth Paltrow

Yesterday shots of Gwyneth Paltrow’s cover for the newly designed Harper’s Bazaar leaked, and today the full spread is available, complete with a meaty interview. Terry Richardson lensed the whole editorial, which features Paltrow wearing revealing black dresses against Richardson’s signature stark white background. In addition to the racy Anthony Vaccarello she dons on the subscriber cover, she wears Lanvin, Givenchy, Versace, Alexander McQueen, and Blumarine.

People seem to either love or hate Gwyneth Paltrow–the accompanying interview is a good illustration of why. Paltrow is pretty unfiltered. Read the highlights here and make your own assessment. It starts with writer Justine Picardie noting that Paltrow would “fall naturally into yoga stretches during the course of the conversation.” We also learn that Goop is being relaunched and expanded, and that she’s working on a second cookbook, which will feature “really delicious health food.” Click through for highlights and head over to Harper’s Bazaar for the full story: Read more »

Gwyneth Paltrow graces the March cover of Haper’s Bazaar wearing the same Anthony Vaccarello dress Karlie Kloss walked in (and wore to that Carine Roitfeld vampire party) during Paris fashion week last September. You can’t see Gwyneth’s face here, but who needs to when there’s so much thigh to take in? Read more »

First Look: Gwyneth Paltrow’s Latest Coach Campaign

Thursday, Jan 12, 2012 / 12:00 PM

While many brands are going with young up-and-comers for their ad campaigns this season, Coach is sticking with someone just as classic, familiar and enduring as their handbags: Gwyneth Paltrow. Paltrow’s first ads for the brand hit international glossies last fall, shortly after she was named their International Brand Ambassador. Read more »

As WWD‘s recent report of the best-and-worst selling issues of 2011 proved, celebrity covers sell magazines plain and simple.

But while the report is a good indication of which celebrities we can expect to see more of on covers (Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston), and which ones we probably won’t (Justin Bieber, Reese Witherspoon), it doesn’t necessarily paint the whole picture. Because while the glossies are printed in the United States, many have dozens of worldwide editions which frequently use reprints (both covers and content) from their North American counterpart. So are the best-selling US celebrities consistent with those who showed up most around the world?

The Kardashian appeal tends to dwindle when you take the overwhelming North American market out of the picture, so logic would indicate that cover giants Jennifer Aniston and Sarah Jessica Parker would pull out in front, right? Well, that’s not always the case.

We take a look at six big titles which have editions all around the world including Cosmopolitan, Elle, Glamour, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle, and Marie Claire, and who showed up the most where. The results might surprise you.

Happy 39th birthday, Gwynnie! Yes, it’s true, Gwyneth Paltrow turns 39 today. She has a lot to celebrate: amazing acting career, two gorgeous kids, newly-discovered singing talent, popular cookbook, devoted GOOP following.

While she’s usually charaterized as a blue bloody girl-next-door type, when you look back at her fashion choices, she’s anything but prim. Gwyneth is not afraid to show some nip on the red carpet (even while posing with a First Lady), and we salute her for it. She also takes a fair amount of fashion risks, and while it sometimes doesn’t work (2002 McQueen Oscars gown) it often does (red Tom Ford for Gucci suit, anyone?)

Click through to see Gwyneth’s most provocative looks to date. We’re looking forward to more.

From L-R: Gwyneth at the Emmys on September 18; the Pucci runway on September 24

If you are one of those encyclopedic fashion types who can look at a designer dress and identify the runway show from whence it came, you may have found yourself a little confused lately.

That sheer midriff-bearing Pucci dress that Gwyneth Paltrow wore to the Emmys on September 18? It turned up on Pucci’s spring 2012 runway on September 24. Obviously Gwyneth is a special lady who gets special favors–but she’s not the only celeb wearing fashion from the future.

Watching last night’s award show, we laughed (thank you, Jane Lynch), we cried (Friday Night Light‘s Kyle Chandler tends to do that to us), but most of all we admired the show-stopping creatures that ruled the red carpet. Oh, and the actresses wearing them didn’t look too shabby either.

From Kate Winslet‘s fire-engine red gown (red on the red carpet was kind of a thing last night) to Gwyneth Paltrow‘s midriff-baring top (yes we know, what a show-off), check out our favorite red carpet looks from last night.

Apparently, The Dark Knight Rises star Anne Hathaway is a victim of unwanted paparazzi attention. So, she wrote an original rap song about it “in the style of Lil Wayne.” Here, she performs it with conviction on Conan (while looking lovely in a floral and lace frock by Erdem). However, Anne is not the first female actress to surprise us with her rap skills. Read more »

Gwyneth is looking fantastic lately, and she continues to look fantastic on the cover of Elle‘s September issue, which the Fashion Spot dug up. We are loving the stripped-down makeup, messy hair, and monochrome black outfit. The styling, courtesy of Joe Zee, has a casual vibe. Boring? Maybe, but we like Gwynnie best when she’s being down-to-earth.

Here are some of the highlights from her interview with Mickey Rapkin: Read more »
