We’re sure that when cavemen banged out rhythms on old animal skulls, all the most gorgeous cave girls immediately came running. While musicians have never had a hard time picking up women, it’s safe to say MTV made it easier for them. The era of the model/musician relationship bloomed during the MTV era–models and musicians were frequently thrown together during video shoots, which was a job that hadn’t existed for models before.

The Danish supermodel is teaming up with scouting and management agency Unsigned Management and Swarovski Crystallized to find the new faces for the Swarovski Crystallized Spring 2012 campaign. But Christensen won’t just be lending her expert opinion as a model with an enviable 20 year career–she’ll be photographing the campaign.

If you’re a city hosting a fashion week and you’re not New York, London, Milan or Paris, you need something to make yourself stand out. For Copenhagen, that thing is the longest catwalk in the world.
Copenhagen’s fashion week, which runs from August 11-15, will culminate with a fashion show on what is being called the “World’s Greatest Catwalk.” Strøget, the pedestrian street that runs through the center of the city, will be transformed into a mile-long catwalk, down which 220 models will walk. The models will wear designs from over 500 Scandinavian brands. Also the runway will be pink.
