Fashionista Week in Review: The Best Fashion Instragrammers, Crystal Renn Talks Going Blonde, and Overexposed Celebs on the Red Carpet

Life with The Coveteur: We’re big fans of The Coveteur, so obviously it was a big score to follow their team through the closets of Susie Bubble, Erdem, and J.W. Anderson. Learn how they edit the most major wardrobes.

Fashion Statement or Overexposure?: Certain starlets have taken to showing their goods on the red carpet lately and we are just wondering: is this a new way to express yourself, or is it just good old fashioned attention seeking? Clutching our pearls..

Enough With the Cutoffs! Cute Alternative Looks to Wear to Coachella: Unless you live under a rock, you know that Coachella happened this weekend, and we couldn’t let you go in another pair of cutoffs! We put together 5 chic looks for the music festival, and if you weren’t lucky enough to go (like us) we think they’ll work just as well for your other summer events.

10 Plagues of Fashion: And we aren’t talking about Ugg boots! We had a little fun pairing the ten plagues of Passover with some fashion imagery.

H&M Goes Glam for a Good Cause: H&M launched a line of sustainable red carpet ready dresses, and they look pretty awesome. Some of the looks have already hit the red carpet on celebs like Viola Davis and Michelle Williams, so check out the lookbook if you’ve got a special event coming up.

Fashion News Roundup: Victoria Beckham Covers Harper’s Bazaar UK, Gaga Turns 26, and Mary Katrantzou is Considering Menswear

Victoria Beckham Covers Harpers UK: Queen Victoria (pre-lob pob cut) covers May’s Harper’s Bazaar UK looking flaw-free in that Prada bodysuit the fashion set just can’t seem to fold away. The glossy was the first to feature Vic on the cover as a serious fashion contender back in 2009, and apparently, the super soccer mom hasn’t been on a vacation alone with husband David since. A blessing and a curse… {Harper’s Bazaar UK}

What Does Your Handbag Says About You? Are you a canvas tote toting toots or a Hermes-carrying honey? Your bag of choice (or, well, budget allowance) says more about you than you might think. {Refinery29}

Happy Birthday Lady Gaga! She’s no longer a little Lady. Stefani Germanotta was born this way/day 26 years ago today! To celebrate, take a look back at some of her most fibbity fab fash mag spreads– there’ve been a lot. {FabSugar}

Mary Katrantzou Menswear Line: Is more Mary K menswear on the way? The it-designer known for her photorealist prints says it was a “happy accident” that she started designing for guys, after Henry Holland peeped a pic of Mary’s male friend donning one of her women’s blazers. There’s no official line yet, but Mary K’s not ruling it out for the future– and we can already see Kanye getting in on one of her fly floral get-ups. {Vogue UK}

Fashion News Roundup: The Kardashians Get Glam for Their Sears Lingerie Line, Karl Lagerfeld’s NYC Apartment Is for Sale Again, and Uniqlo’s Tokyo Store Gets Americanized

Kardashians Pose Kasually in Lingerie Ad: Here’s the first campaign image from the K-Klan’s Intimates kollection at Sears, featuring Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney doing their best sexy-faces in an elaborate doorway wearing stilettos, thigh highs, and not much else — unless you’re counting the liters of hairspray, fake tan, and frosted lipstick that also went into the styling. Those Kardashians… they just keep getting klassier. {E! Online}

Ted Baker Luring Customers in With Instagram: This Saturday (3/17), customers of the UK label will be treated to in-store photobooth portraits courtesy of Instagram– which will then be forwarded to human artists who will reinterpret the pics that inspire them most. The promotion is further proof that everything looks better as an Instagram, and will hopefully inspire someone to create glasses that allow one to view life in Valencia. Valencia’s my filter. {Mashable}

Karl Lagerfeld’s NYC Apartment is Still For Sale, Has Creepy Mannequin: The Kaiser’s Gramercy Park pad is still for sale at $5.2 million– which may sound a bit steep, until you’ve seen these shots of the gorgeous (and enormous, by Manhattan standards) interior. Though it’s been widely assumed that he has never actually resided in this most spacious of spaces, it’s really fun to think about Karl going to sleep with a creepy, giant, headless mannequin form watching over him. {Curbed}

Fashion Tech Boom: Why It’s Happening and How Startups Get Funded

Last year saw a major influx of new fashion-focused tech startups. With the early success of pioneers like Gilt Groupe and Ideeli, an industry that has typically been slow to embrace new technology has spawned a burgeoning community of game-changing ecommerce sites, mobile apps and social networking and discovery platforms. And with no shortage of new ideas or interest from financial backers, this influx shows no signs of slowing down in 2012–and we think that’s very exciting.

With new start-ups popping up almost daily, we set out to discover which ones are doing it right, how they’re all being funded, and what 2012 holds for the fashion tech biz.

Fashion News Roundup: DKNY’s Million Dollar Perfume, Inappropriate American Apparel T-Shirts, and Jessica Stam’s Unbelievable Beauty Stash

DKNY’s Million Dollar Perfume Bottle: Dubbed the “DKNY Golden Delicious Million Dollar Fragrance Bottle”, it’s designed by jeweler Martin Katz and made of 14-karat yellow and white gold and 2,909 precious stones that form the NYC skyline. It will be sold to benefit the charity Action Against Hunger. {Luxuryes}

Good News For The American Garment Industry: A weak dollar may be bad for travellers, but it’s great for exporting. U.S. brands are moving manufacturing back stateside and both L.A. and New York have seen an increase in apparel manufacturing jobs–800 new jobs in July alone. {WWD}

Dov Charney Is Being Creepy, Again: American Apparel now sells this shirt reading “Teenagers Do It Better,” which goes really nicely with Charney’s multiple sexual harrassment charges (some of which were from actual teenagers). The shirt is a collab with teen mag Electric Youth, also famous for featuring young models in various states of undress. {Styleite}
