I love the story in this campaign–Fontana is a high powered high profile New York exec whose life includes running between testifying in court, rushing her kid to school and attending a fancy gala. Kinda different from Fontana’s real life story right now–though she’s still under scrutiny.

Since our last roundup of Fall 2011 ads, some of the biggest campaigns have been released. From Chanel’s cats to Balenciaga’s church-going models, these ads are decidedly thematic.

Famed photog duo Inez and Vinoodh have been putting up the portraits they are doing for the CFDA on their Tumblr. The photos are gorgeous–so far they’ve revealed portraits of Raquel Zimmermann, Isabeli Fontana, and Freja Beha Erichsen but our favorite by far is this front and back shot of Anja Rubik and her amazingly awesome big hair. So that’s how that works…

MILAN–I couldn’t help humming Boy George’s “Karma Chameleon” as I walked out of the Dolce & Gabbana show this afternoon. Playing up the late ’80s vibe they put out at the D&G show, Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce created a collection of old school contrasts: skinny girls (Arizona Muse, Abbey Lee) dressed up like boys in tuxedos and brogues; curvy girls (Isabeli Fontana, Candice Swanepoel) dressed up like starlets, literally covered in stars. It was fun, pretty, and, most of all, wearable beneath the bells and whistles.
