Last night Glamour magazine celebrated their annual Women of the Year Awards at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall. The evening honored courageous women and celebrities like Jenna Lyons, Missy Franklin, and Selena Gomez for their charity and progressive leadership. It was full of surprises too.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Lena Dunham, Pakistani activist and filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Olympic gold medalists Missy Franklin and Gabby Douglas, Annie Leibovitz. These were just a few of the impressive names honored at last night’s Glamour Women of the Year awards. But the honoree we were most looking forward to seeing at Carnegie Hall was J.Crew President Jenna Lyons.
Don’t expect a press release from Diane von Furstenberg proclaiming that Ann Romney wore one of her dresses.
“We’re actually not quite sure how Ann obtained the dress,” a DVF spokesperson said to BuzzFeed Shift, declining to comment further.
