UPDATED: IHT Online Style Editor Jessica Michault Named Editor-in-Chief at NOWFASHION

Jessica Michault, Suzy Menkes‘ partner-in-crime and online editor at the International Herald Tribune, is leaving her post at the storied publication for greener–or at least speedier–pastures: The editor and blogger has just been named editor-in-chief of NOWFASHION.

UPDATE: Raf Simons Is Not Going to Yves Saint Laurent

In the wake of Raf Simons’ gorgeous spring collection for Jil Sander and subsequent review by Suzy Menkes, a veritable media frenzy erupted over the weekend thanks to a statement by the respected fashion journalist that

Wonders had been promised: fortune tellers, lotteries, makeup stands–what more to ask for?

The caveat: invitations were given out in this month’s Vogue–which means that, in a city possessed by fashion, the entire Parisian population was present. If not for the clothes, they came for the free champagne, macaroons, and Carine-spotting.

By 7pm, the streets looked like a giant mosh pit: crowds of fashion students were pushing and pulling in every direction, like elegant headless chickens.
