Joe’s Jeans Designer Launches Ambitious New Multifaceted Resale Site

Ambre Dahan, the French-born, L.A.-based design director of Joe’s Jeans (and wife of Joe’s Jeans founder Joe Dahan), knows that the online resale space is competitive. And crowded. After all, 2012 was filled with launch-after-launch: The Real Real, Vaunte, Shop Hers, and Material Wrld, to name a few.

But Dahan believes that her self-funded site, Walk In My Closet, which launches today, is unique enough to make a real impression on the market. And she may be right.

Paz de la Huerta Models Joe’s Jeans in a Circus Hoop at 14 Feet in the Air

Paz de la Huerta is the face of Joe’s Jeans fall campaign which celebrates the brand’s 10th anniversary. According to a release, creative director Joe Dahan chose de la Huerta “for her sultry nature and untamed beauty.” If “untamed” can also encompass de la Huerta’s recent drunk antics–including being charged with assault after punching model Samantha Swetra in the face and then throwing a glass at her at the Standard back in March–then that’s an apt descriptor.

The campaign, photographed by Tao Ruspoli, puts the “Boardwalk Empire” actress in an old time-y circus where she rides a vintage merry-go-round, dangles from an aerial hoop suspended 14 feet in the air, is strapped to a spinning wheel in front of a knife thrower, and then just stares at herself in a mirror. “Masterfully suspended like a wild cat, Paz gazes at you, rendering you powerless,” the release reads.

Are you powerless yet? Click through to see the rest of the campaign.
