In sad news today, beloved designer Sonia Rykiel has revealed she’s been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for the past 15 years, WWD is reporting.

The revelation comes from Rykiel’s new book, co-authored by Judith Perrignon and published by L’Iconoclaste. N’Oubliez Pas Que Je Joue, or Don’t Forget It’s a Game in English, features the designer’s reflections on the disease which has plagued her for over a decade, interspersed with Perrignon’s recollections of several meetings with Rykiel.
