Wonderful Wixson: T Magazine has named Lindsey Wixson breakout model of the year. {The Moment}

Royal Granny Panties: Some Miami playboy came into possession of a pair of Queen Elizabeth II’s panties after they were left on a private plane in 1968. The owner of the panties recently passed away, so they’re being auctioned of as part of an estate sale. They’re predicted to fetch an estimated $9,000 via the same auction house that sold Queen Victoria’s undies back in 2008. {TMZ}

Tom Ford loves nakedness, especially that of fat women, saying “Fat women almost always look better without the constraint and lumpy pinching of clothes, all the straps and elastic squeezing and sucking.” But if you have to wear clothes, he’d like you to wear his. {Contact Music via Jezebel}

Jane and Judy Aldridge Sell Their Own Collection Of Vintage For WGACA

I’ve never been one to consistently follow another person’s life. I don’t have a TV, so I can’t indulge in reality shows like The City, and most personal style blogs interest me for a minute until I get bored and move on.

However, I have one exception, and that is Sea of Shoes. Whether it’s because of Jane‘s enviable shoe collection, or her quirky obsession with bugs, I find myself intrigued by her life. So, I think it’s safe to say, I’m a fan. A big one.

Our Student Correspondent Reports From Teen Vogue‘s Fashion University

This past weekend, Teen Vogue invited Zac Posen, Erin Fetherson, Jenna Lyons, Charlotte Ronson, Rachel Roy, and Jason Wu–among others–to speak at its annual Fashion University in New York City. As a high school senior, I was one of the lucky attendants. Here’s what went down:

The weekend kicked off with a Juicy Couture shopping event at the label’s flagship store on 5th Ave. Budding fashionistas lined up around the block and were welcomed inside by male models walking around, offering tasty treats. Indie band The Downtown Fiction performed for a packed store.

The next morning, a camel-donned Anna Wintour gave the opening address, detailing the ups and downs of her career. Everyone in the audience appeared surprised by how honest she was of her mistakes. Wintour gave the impression of having genuine passion for developing new young talent in the industry. She called the fashion world the most charitable industry saying, “No one else gives back their time, money, or ideas like us. There is no competitiveness or back biting.” Her final piece of advice was “Do your time to succeed; you have to start at the bottom to make it to the top.”

Sofia for Dior, part deux! Sofia Coppola was spotted in Paris last week filming Natalie Portman and Robert Schwartzman (Apparently Jason has a cute younger brother) for an upcoming Dior campaign. We were obsessed with the last one she directed and this one sounds like it might be even more amazing. {Fashionologie}

Above and Beyond: Anna Dello Russo is launching a fragrance and has released images of the campaign. The fragrance, called “Beyond,” will be held in some kind of gold ornate shoe. We’ll wait until we smell it to start judging. Maybe.{Elle.com}

Moving On: Is Lorenzo Martone rebounding with Lance Bass? Sorry Lance, but we’re going to have to call that a step down. {Gawker}

The Duckies’ bi-bourough living: Duckie Brown designers Daniel Silver and Stephen Cox open up their meatpacking district live/work space as well as their “country home” near Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. They discuss the meatpacking district in the ’80s, their Spring ’11 collection, and how their life is their mood board. {Vevant}

Quote of the Day

“We were actually quite lonely during that time and it magnified that apocalyptic feeling. It was a jacket you need to survive; we felt like we could wear that to survive and that was all we’d need.” –Judy Aldridge on her new coat for Gryphon.
