The British Fash Pack Weighs In on the Kardashian Kollection Krossing the Pond

Earlier this week, news broke that the Kardashian Kollection, sold stateside at Sears, would be krossing the pond courtesy of Sir Phillip Green and his massive retail empire. Under Green’s Arcadia group (you’re probably most familiar with Arcadia’s Topshop) the line will be sold in some 13 countries and will land in 250 Dorothy Perkins’s Read more →

A (Very Photoshopped) First Look at the Kardashian Kollection Swimwear Campaign–But Why is Khloe The Only One Covered Up?

Out of all the things the Kardashians have designed, swimwear is probably the one that makes the most sense–and needless to say the “designers” managed to infuse their hallmark saucy style into their latest swim line for Sears’ Kardashian Kollection. Bruno Schiavi, the “co-creator” of the Kardashian Kollection, shared the exclusive first look at the Read more →

Fashion News Roundup: The Kardashians Get Glam for Their Sears Lingerie Line, Karl Lagerfeld’s NYC Apartment Is for Sale Again, and Uniqlo’s Tokyo Store Gets Americanized

Kardashians Pose Kasually in Lingerie Ad: Here’s the first campaign image from the K-Klan’s Intimates kollection at Sears, featuring Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney doing their best sexy-faces in an elaborate doorway wearing stilettos, thigh highs, and not much else — unless you’re counting the liters of hairspray, fake tan, and frosted lipstick that also went into the styling. Those Kardashians… they just keep getting klassier. {E! Online}

Ted Baker Luring Customers in With Instagram: This Saturday (3/17), customers of the UK label will be treated to in-store photobooth portraits courtesy of Instagram– which will then be forwarded to human artists who will reinterpret the pics that inspire them most. The promotion is further proof that everything looks better as an Instagram, and will hopefully inspire someone to create glasses that allow one to view life in Valencia. Valencia’s my filter. {Mashable}

Karl Lagerfeld’s NYC Apartment is Still For Sale, Has Creepy Mannequin: The Kaiser’s Gramercy Park pad is still for sale at $5.2 million– which may sound a bit steep, until you’ve seen these shots of the gorgeous (and enormous, by Manhattan standards) interior. Though it’s been widely assumed that he has never actually resided in this most spacious of spaces, it’s really fun to think about Karl going to sleep with a creepy, giant, headless mannequin form watching over him. {Curbed}

Kim Kardashian’s Shady Empire: A Look At All the Sketchy Products and Deals the Kardashians Have Backed

Yesterday, we reported that Skechers could pay up to $75 Million for claiming that their Shape-up shoes would “tone” and strengthen legs and butt. It wasn’t exactly surprising and turned out to be yet another addition to the list of shady products that Kim Kardashian has tied her name to.

Based solely on her business dealings, the girl has a seriously bad habit of lending her name to scams, counterfeits and other dubious business going-ons. Of course, her 72-day marriage and rampant overexposure don’t exactly help her case for business integrity.

We did some digging and found out that, in total, Kim’s name has been attached to at least nine shady business deals over the past couple of years. From lying about sponsored tweets to kopykat issues, click through for a look back at Kim’s shadiest endorsements.

Adventures in Kopyright: The New Kardashian Kollection Bag Line Looks Like a Lot of Other Bags (YSL, Balenciaga, Celine…)

Say what you will about Kim Kardashian, but the girl shows up for work. She touched down in Sydney yesterday with sis Khloe to promote the launch of a line of Kardashian Kollection bags exclusive to Australia (the designer/entrepreneur the sisters worked with on their Sears kollection, Bruno Schiavi, is a Sydney native). The Kardashian’s Officially Launch Their Sears Kollection in NYC–And It’s Already Selling Out

The Kardashian sisters officially launched their Kardashian Kollection for Sears at their campaign photographer Annie Liebovitz’s studio in the meatpacking district Tuesday night. And while I, and most of the guests at the press preview, had gotten soaked through thanks to an unending downpour, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe looked impeccably coiffed and, yes, chic in their Sears’ togs–not to mention enviably dry.

Since the Kardashians are a family that sticks together, mama Kris was there too–looking super hot in that black polka-dot sheer Stella McCartney–and so was Kourtney’s beau Scott Disick.

The sisters were on publicist lock-down and not talking to any reporters (save the NYT, sad face), so we happily chatted with Bruno Schiavi–the designer who worked with the sisters to produce their Sears collection.

Kim, Kourtney and Khloe might be sisters by they’ve got different styles. “Kim’s Hollywood, Kourtney’s the bohemian and Khloe’s the rocker,” Schiavi explained, “and we tried to blend them together.”

And it seems they blend well. Even though the collection has only been on Sears’ shelves for less than a week, items from the collection have already sold out–before the official launch.

Adventures in Kopyright: Kardashian Kollection Rips Off Botkier

The bag on the left is Botkier’s ‘Trigger Clyde,’ which debuted in Fall 2009. The bag on the right is from Sears’ Kardashian Kollection, which hit stores this week. See the problem?

Botkier certainly does. The contemporary womenswear brand, which launched in 2004, took to their blog to vent: “We just discovered how our Botkier ‘Clyde’ was simply copied by Kardashian Kollection for Sears. They say imitation is the highest form of flattery but we don’t think so…”
